We ordered a pizza for dinner from La Florentina in August, 2023. I have read reviews and wonder where this restaurant that people spoke of, actually is? We stopped in to pick up the pizza. Right off the bat, there was nobody to speak with. The only person available at first was a gentalman at the pizza oven. Let’s just say that we had a major communications issue. Finally, he got a women who at least could speak with us.

I used to go here all the time growing up and loved this place and their fresh pasta. A few years ago (don’t remember the exact timing) they got new owners and these new owners are cheap. Portion sizes were smallish with the previous owners but at least you got fresh pasta. They no longer give you fresh pasta but you are paying the same price (if not more) for a child’s size portion.

Came with a friend during the coldest day ever this year… place is warm, and not busy as per my usual experience when dining in… ordered the Mauceri Pizza which is a personal fave. The Porcini seemed lacking but overall taste was fine. Also the serving size of the calamari appetizer also seemed smaller… basing it on photos of previous orders… but I guess you know… Inflation and all that…

We went here to get pizza and my mom remembered it to be amazing. My Dad has breathing problems and this wood fire pizza place has no ventilation so the smell of smoke makes it hard for him to breathe. I got the chicken parmigiana which was thin and very small portion. I know other places have thin parmigiana but they have a bigger portion. The chicken was though and the breading just slides off. Every everyone else in my family got a pizza. My Dad said the margarita pizza had no flavor.

I ordered a large pizza for my family. But when I started eating, I felt the dough was undercooked and when I saw inside of it , it was all sticky undercooked, raw dough. I called them about my experience and they offered me a new pizza. I drove all the way from my home to the place and when I got there, they handed over me a medium size pizza also undercooked and raw dough. Wasn’t edible and threw it away. I would never recommend this place. Waste of money.

It’s starting to slip. Sign on door says cash only- no one mentioned that when we placed order over the phone. Staff was non-communicative, even cryptic. Mauceri pizza was skimpy – nothing like in the picture or like the way it always was.

Very happy with this visit ( the first one for my family and I )… Pizza was very good and the cheese sauce appetizer with shrimp and spinach was out of this world… Good wine list and the service was good, they were friendly and pricing absolutely fair
