We recently reserved the Estrella Room for a Bridal Luncheon at the Alamo Heights location. Our Headcount was 24 and it couldn’t have turned out any better. Every course was served hot, delicious and in a timely matter. The server told me they were short handed, but we would not have known. Service was great! The margaritas are delicious and each beautifully topped with a single orchid. Jennifer the manager, was very professional and knowledgeable. She was well organized and assisted with menu planning.

Let’s start with the basics- chips and salsa, margaritas and beer. All on point! I could live on the chips and salsa alone! Margaritas are fresh and delicious, beer is ice cold. Now the actual food- in a city of Mexican food this stands out as the best! The authentic flavor, the freshness, it’s all so delicious on the next level.

Cute date night Mexican restaurant. There is sometimes a wait, so don’t come with inpatient people. Margarita on the rocks > frozen here. Order the ARRACHERA A LA MEXICANA. Salsa here is addicting (has a roasted flavor).

Unbelieveable flavors! Our Mexican fare in the Philadelphia suburbs is nothing like this. Delicious! Fresh, fluffy flour tortillas. The meats were tender and very nicely seasoned. We hope to be back the next time we’re in Texas!

We went for lunch, and I guess they had a short staffing day. We had to wait just toe recognized to be seated. Once seated, the service did pick up some. The food was good as per my wife. We had a delightful time.

My friends and I had a great time at La Fogata Cantina mainly due to the amazing service. Our waiter Esteban was super knowledgeable, professional, funny, and so nice! While the food was a bit bland for me, their (free) salsa was so flavorful. Esteban kindly supplied me with extras. My friend enjoyed her original Margarita cocktail and we all LOVE the churro dessert — it was crispy on the outside, soft inside and not too sweet. The restaurant has a fun atmosphere.

We had a party of 9 and 1 child, waiter/server Zachary provider POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. We ordered sweet tea he brought unsweet then he mentioned we don’t have sweet. Well my goodness say something when we were ordering drinks. The tea needed more ice, the table was low in supply for sugar items. When the food was served gave the wrong plates to different people we had to shift plates around among us. Some of the plates rice & beans were cold. We were there over 2 hours only 1 time he asked us if we needed anything. We had to ask him for refills and condiments. The floor was dirty under the center table with food etc. Upon leaving I asked him if the manager was available he said he wasn’t around. So I went online to request to call me. For the amount of money we spent and the 22.00% gratuity server received for his poor service is not acceptable. And food was not that great! We had several retired military people in our group from out of town visiting us and we were ashamed to have brought them to this restaurant. Awaiting call from manager, if not contacted, I will reach out to district/regional manager.
