If you want a taste of some deep Mexico cuisine, this is the place. Where else can you find savor empanadas, slow roasted Oaxacan barbacoa and some stellar shredded beef tacos. Great bar drinks, too. The atmosphere and the staff are really great. You won’t be disappointed.

In Santa Fe: The Watermelon Mint was a perfect summer drink to quench your thirst. The guacamole was made fresh at our table. The Oaxacan Sopes were superb! My Dad ordered the beef fajitas. Wonderful. My Mom had the Chile en Nogada. The taste I had was to die for. I got the Mole Enchiladas. The mole was exceptional. Overall, the food was amazing and the service was fantastic!

Such a good experience and amazing food!!!!!!! The waitress was outstanding, always polite and with a smile on her face. I see other reviews giving this place a bad review due do a dirty dish and you didn’t get a discount sounds like you want a free meal I don’t understand people. Because this place is amazing definitely worth trying.

I live near Santa Fe, and brought my mom for a nice holiday a few weeks ago. We accidentally ran across La Fogata Grill while exploring the Plaza, and I’m so glad we did!

We ordered margaritas our favorite way, with fresh jalapenos. We shared a chicken tamale with mole as an appetizer, it was wonderful. Jacob had never had mole before and now he insists I make it for him on a regular basis. The suiza enchiladas were amazing. The Oaxacan barbacoa was excellent. I would definitely recommend coming here and sitting in the atrium in the back, it’s bright and filled with plants.

We picked La Fogata Grill based on the interesting menu, and we were not disappointed. ☺️ We ordered the non-alcoholic Watermelon Mint (amazing) and a mezcal flight. Enjoyed trying the selection of mezcal, and picked out our favorite (see photo). Had an appetizer of plantanos with cream and black bean paste. For an entree we ordered empanadas (made with corn meal not flour) – beef, chicken and ham and cheese. Came with rice and beans and everything was delicious. The wait staff and bartender were all so attentive and pleasant to deal with. A special shout out to our waitress, Gabby.

We visited the restaurant today. We had to wait for a while before we even got seated . The staff was behind the bar, very loud having a little party of their own. The waitress had a attitude problem, didn’t even try to make a conversation with us . I asked for chips and salsa, which we never received. I order beef fajitas ,which had no flavor what so ever . The tortillas that were brought out were all crumble up , I couldn’t believe that’s the way they brought them to me ? I ask for another order and told them the situation, after they brought me the second order, I was in disbelief , the tortillas were in pieces for the second time . At that point I had enough ,I ask for my bill and they had the audacity to charge me for the second order of tortillas. The staff was not professional, specially working with sweats on . One of the waitress behind the bar was picking her teeth with a tooth pic and spitting her residues out into the bar . As a tourist visiting Santa Fe , I don’t recommend this restaurant to anybody .
