You absolute bastards. I saw where you’ve been cited for multiple food violations, which would explain how I damn near died. I dines there with my mom and fiancée before moving, and had what you call pork belly. It wasn’t pork belly, it was simply a pork cutlet with no striating of fat or proper preparation, and that was just a part of a shameful excuse for fine dining. 30 hours later, as I started a drive from California to Texas, I began what was 72 hours of the absolute worst food poisoning of my entire life. I literally spent half of that time period with violent body expulsions of multiple varieties, severe dehydration, and all the other fun that comes with food poisoning. We’ve spent months trying to figure out how I went from perfectly fine to complete disaster, but this makes sense. All the diners thought there was something wrong with the pork, but I got too far into it apparently. The sad thing is that both of us know fine dining, and had high hopes for Bakersfield having this kind of place, but a chef that doesn’t know what pork belly is yet tries to bs customers into believing they are eating that is shameful. How dare you ignore basic food safety, and purport yourself a place to try upscale food. You’re taking money from people under false pretenses, and that is a travesty.
