We serve traditional Mexican taco shop food but what sets us apart from everyone else is that we offer traditional mercado food. These dishes are all based around handmade corn dough known as masa that we make in house. When we first opened our doors in 2002. we noticed this food wasn’t commonly known, let alone available so we set out to give people a little piece of Central Mexican cuisine.

First time here. I ordered carne asada fries, carne asada gordita and a huarache with carne asada on top. Everything I ordered was under $10. Very affordable. The huarache was my favorite! If I’m ever visiting Vista I will definitely come back

I don’t know how this disgusting place is still open. I got food poisoning ended up in the ER the chicken was old and had a lot of bacteria. My friend also found a roach in her food. Please avoid your money and time they are DIRTY!!!

There are many Mexican restaurants on South Sante Fe in Vista but this one is by far my favorite. Corn quesadillas, corn gorditas, chicken tacos… everything is good here. I’ve been going here for 15+ years and have never been disappointed. The rice AND the beans are great. Always friendly staff too.

This food is amazing, the flavor, volume and price can’t be beat in all of North County San Diego. I’m so fortunate to live within a few miles but would travel an hour to eat their authentic Mexican food. Their clientele consists of mostly Hispanic folks and that says slot. It’s clean with an A rating and the service is fast with very little wait even when it’s busy. The Carnitas is my go to plate but the Carna and Fish dishes can’t be beat. Make sure you have room in your fridge for leftovers because you’ll fill up before it’s pow. I’m always disappointed when we choose another mex place so don’t bother…..enjoy
