First trip to Black Mountain. First time trying La Guinguette. I looked up different restaurants in the area online and I love crepes. The menu sounded great. I tried the blueberry and strawberry crepes with chocolate sauce and they were amazing!! The staff were all very nice and helpful. Loved the atmosphere. Loved the outdoor area. Very cute, cozy, nice, and relaxing place. I definitely can’t wait to come back and try more crepes and other menu items as well

The atmosphere at La Guinguette is cozy and unique. The service was excellent. However, the empanadas were terrible. They were raw on the bottom and the chicken inside was tough. We expected much better. The staff took care of us and took them off of our bill without any trouble. The crepes were excellent! If you check this place out, I can only recommend the crepes.

I had an amazing experience at this cafe. I had tapenade (crostatas and something like crunchy crepes), chicken and mushroom tamales, raspberry jam flavored and lemon sugar flavored crepes with yummy whipped cream! The iced tea was great too! I find this place a great splurge place but can be affordable if you order less. Wonderful restaurant! Will remember this visit fondly for many years to come eating delicious food with my family!

My wife wanted to go somewhere different for our anniversary, so I found La Guinguette & we took the drive up to Black Mountain to give it a try. Service was excellent & the food was fantastic – savory crepe for me and tamales for my wife. We finished with coffee & some sweet crepes, and a bill that was surprisingly reasonable. Definitely planning on going back.

Had the empanadas and French onion soup, along with a lemon crepe for dessert. The good was amazing, and service was great. I’d definitely recommend dining here if your in the area.

Such a cute little place! The waitresses were so kind. Hands down the best French onion soup I’ve ever had! I’m vegetarian, and there were so many things available to me! Can’t recommend enough if you need a sweet place to brunch!

We can’t say enough good things about La Guinguette. First, the staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming; you really feel like you’ve stepped into a small (charming!) French town.

Crepes were a bit disappointing although I love crepes normally! The filling was just not balanced, maybe it’s about the ingredients they use..

By far, the best French onion soup in the area. Service was great and their back porch is a perfect place to sit, even when it’s warm. Nice and shaded.
