The food is good however make sure to ask how big the tacos are before ordering. I ordered four thinking they were the same size tacos just like any other place. However that wasn’t the case. The tacos were really big especially just for one person. I asked if they can take them back since we didn’t know they were big and the waiter didn’t tell us either. She said no that we have to pay since we asked for them. Long story short ask for the size of the tacos before ordering !

Grabbed lunch with an old friend. He’s “all in” on this restaurant so I agreed to give it a go. Tried several core tacos. Each were filling and had good flavor but the barbacoa and compechano really stood out. Service was good, portions were ample, and the price very reasonable. They are known for their Birria and many other patrons seemed to really enjoy it. All in all this a solid choice for quality tacos. If you’re in the area it worth considering making a stop

What can I say La Herradura de San Miguel Mexican Restaurant is fire. It had been a while since my husband and I had ate at a great Mexican restaurant. We have tried many Mexican restaurants in San Antonio TX. La Herradura is definitely one of the best. The watermelon agua fresca was delicious. The salsas tasted so delicious with the chips. The food was just as delicious the tortillas are handmade, even the beans had such a good flavor. My husband ate birria and consome he loved it. I had the quesadilla plate. Nothing disappointed at all. We will be back at this restaurant. I most definitely recommend this Mexican restaurant.
