First time visiting, and I can safely say that food quality was great. I had the churrasco with gallo pinto and maduros. It also came with cabbage salad. Our party was given chips with frijoles y queso, which were also pretty good. The cacao was of pretty good quality. I wish the prices were listed on the menu, but that’s about it. The staff was pretty attentive. We went on a Sunday close to 4pm. Will definitely be coming back.

Are super super super great service. Love the food love the steak and the rice and beans are my favorite dish. Thank you so much for bringing Nicaraguan food to South Florida. We are proud of having this restaurant nearby. You guys are the best.

It is delicious food. The reason I can not give it 5 stars is because it is very pricey. Instead of coming often I only come once every 6 months or so just to satisfy the urge. Service is fantastic when I went. Food came out quickly. Neat was tender and well seasoned. We ordered the two person parilla and could not finish it. Excellent

A friend of mine brought me here and the food was great. A few weeks later I brought my Colombian wife, the food was excellent the service is great, the best home cooked meal I’ve had in a while.

Overall I’m giving this place 4 out of 5 stars. The food and service was great. I didn’t like that the menu didn’t have the prices. I found the prices to be s bit steep for some of the menu items.

The food was on the level you would expect from a fritanga. There are no prices on the menu. Market price as of this post for churrasco skirt steak was $40 and carne asada flap steak was $25. They charge as if this was fine dinning with a fritanga atmosphere. Not worth it whatsoever. In total we paid $147 for 4 people dinner.

I’m Nicaraguan, so there is an extreme bias in this review. This is my childhood comfort food, so every time I can get a nacatamal and tortillas, I am in heaven. Hormiga does the culture justice, so I am always happy here.

I came to eat at this place with my bf thinking it was a good place to eat, not thinking i was going to pay $60 plus tip for some carne asada. Pretty much each plate cost me $30 dollars each, for some rice , steak ,plantain and fried cheese when they have the same food at a different location in Miami lakes 2 for $30 . Never again , they are too overpriced with their food.

I came to have lunch with a colleague of mine who highly recommended this restaurant because he is from Nicaragua . I had the Antojito Casero (yuca, pork rinds, ground sausage, fried cheese, and cabbage salad. The meal was quite tasty although the pork rinds didn’t seem too fresh. The wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful although it took a while to serve the meals. I found the beverages a bit pricey: $2+ for a bottle of water. Overall, it’s a nice little restaurant down the street from Broward College South Campus. I’ll definitely be back!
