The food was fast and great. Nice authentic food, definitely a place I would go back to. Price is very reasonable, and quantities are well worth the value. Located near a ton of places to shop, this would be a great place to stop after shopping for an afternoon.

It’s Tex Mex, it’s good Tex Mex, but there’s nothing distinguishing it from any of the million other Tex Mex style restaurants. Expect a mountain of beans and rice, with a side of guac, sour cream and some sort of tortilla and meat. Again, standard fare.

Absolutely fantastic Mexican restaurant for every reason you love Mexican restaurants. Chips when you’re seated? Perfectly light & crisp. Salsa? Excellent flavor without burning. Guacamole? Boom, terrific avocado taste. Queso? Uh-mazing. Burritos? Huge. Margs? Tequila for days. How about sizzling fajitas? Yup. Tacos, steak chicken and pork. Shrimp, rice beans tortillas. Basically it’s perfect and the servers are actually glad you’re there. They even laugh at dad jokes.

This quaint little hole in the wall has some pretty delicious food. More than that, though, the staff are hospitable and kind. I was debating between some items and asked which was best. The server was happy to give advice and ended up encouraging me to try something outside the box. It was quite good. My S.O. chose a smothered (wet) burrito and ate every bit of what was on his plate, as it was “pretty good”. Ha! Overall, though the food is worth the trip in.

Horrible, Stale chips, Dirty plates. we where a party of 5. My daughter asked for guacamole. I asked for an empty plate so we can split the guacamole and they brought us a dirty plate. I wouldn’t eat here if it was free. Ordered a beer-rita and there is absolutely no tequila in their margaritas. We all walked out before ordering dinner!

Went here a couple of days ago and I always enjoy it. Food is a good price and has large portions. Staff is very friendly. Food comes out fast. I’d rather spend my money at a good family run restaurant like this than any where else. Keep up the good work La Isla Bonita, your burritos are awesome

I went here last night with a friend. I got enchiladas, not expecting cilantro to be included in the dish, as I very recently discovered cilantro gives me severe migraines. When my plate arrived, it looked like the tomato salad may have had cilantro, but when I asked the female staff member, she said that it was just the darker part of the lettuce. After taking a couple of bites, my friend and I notice stems on the “darker parts of the lettuce” and that the female and a couple of men are in the back speaking in Spanish and saying “cilantro” a lot, indicating they were talking about me. After I call her over and say I don’t want the dish anymore because there’s cilantro on the plate and cilantro gives me migraines, she says, “I’m sorry, I just thought you didn’t want to eat it”. So essentially, I ended up in the emergency room last night because she thought I was being picky, not because it was potentially a health issue.
