Re-visited this location twice now. 8/26/23. Really good food Had the French dip and mushroom soup. Both were great. Fresh and piping hot. I’m glad I started coming back. Breakfast is great too. I get the Nouveau breakfast, yummy. Avocado toast super fresh and egg made to order, and what doesn’t go with bacon.

My experience was horrible. The host was Jennifer. She was rude racist. She was very nice and polite to the white couple in front of me but when she got to me she did not say good morning she didn’t say anything. What are you here for that is what she said to me. I asked for a lemon tart and a fruit tart. She said oh you want the square ones yes, is how I replied she told the other couples I have a good day she didn’t even say anything to me. She walked away from the counter. I had to ask her for a bag for my food. She wanted me to carry it out in the box. I’ll never come back to this love Madeleine ever again in life.

Went in for pastry treat, waited at the pastry counter. Saw five people working and no one greeted us as we walked. No one said anything for a good five minutes. Then someone walked in the door behind us and she was greeted. I guess I was not white enough. When she took my order, she grab the wrong pastry and over charged me. When I told her she over charged me, she rolled her eyes and so did another worker.

Our doctors are in the HEB center across the street. So we cross over for breakfast or lunch most of the time. Even when we are watching our calories we can split a meal that has great flavor instead of cardboard diet food.
