I personally like this La Mesa (84th Street in Papillion) best out of all of them. The food seems to have more seasoning/flavor and it has great atmosphere. We’ve started going to this La Mesa exclusively because we’ve had great food and great service repeatedly. I love their cheese dip and all of the entrees Ove tried have been wonderful!

We had a perfect evening on the patio and enjoyed the chicken suiza enchiladas. I added a vegetable enchilada this time and WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!! If you like fajitas, you’ll love them (my mouth is watering just thinking about it!) We love the cheese sauce (Queso) here – it is a mild white cheese, so if you prefer the spicy alternative you may want to add a hotter sauce to it Last but definitely not least is the fried ice cream! It’s a very rare occurrence that we can leave La Mesa without having fried ice cream – the best around, in our opinion

Just ordered from here through door dash and they completely forgot to put any queso on the chimichangas we ordered. Super bummed. Especially for $17 each. Not impressed. Have never had this happen when we order from the other la mesas in town.

There was just a list of not okays this evening. My date’s chimi was soggy and lukewarm. Our waitress seemed uninterested and left our waters empty the entire dinner, once food was delivered she did not resurface other than to walk by us and not spare a glance. We couldn’t even bring up the issue of the soggy chimi because she never came back. No way to even try to remedy the issue. We even placed our waters at the end of the table so that the empty glasses were visible. Another server came by to clear our plates after sitting there for 30 minutes asking if we were waiting on something… Yeah.. Our check… Poor food, poor service, poor experience. Will not be back.

My Birria tacos were bland and had no consome to dip them in. The tortillas were not coated in the consome either. It was more like a pot roast taco. I asked for a hot sauce and the server said they had a habenero sauce he would bring. I guess this places definition of habenero sauce is tapatio.
