Really great food ! Amazing customer service ! The house vinegrette was light and refreshing. My husband had the ground beef steak and he loved it. I ate the fried chicken and it was so moist and delicious! The Mac and cheese was amazing ! I tried some Santa Fe Pale Ale just to be local and it was pretty good too. We definitely will come again on our next trip to Santa Fe !

My son and I stopped here to eat and it was one of my favorites. The fried chicken was so good crispy on the outside moist and tender inside The house salad was delicious as it had a house made dressing. The service was pleasant with a hometown feel. The grandson came out to meet us. We enjoyed the conversation! It was a cute family run homemade & hometown feel. Theres also a bar to chat with some of the locals. I would recommend this place a thousand times over!!!

I hadn’t been there for ages and decided I wanted to give it a try again. Was I blown away! The tomato bisque soup was completely out of this world and then I had a large salad which was beautifully presented and completely fresh and crisp. My friend had the salmon and said that it was luscious. The portion was very generous. I can’t wait to go back. Oh…I forgot, their chips and salsa were excellent as a starter.

Super enjoyable meal (yes it truly is all about their fried chicken ). I appreciate the cozy atmosphere and the helpful staff that even assisted my dad with his walker. If anything my only complaint was the margarita was too small. We’ll definitely be back!!

Our first time to get to eat here. We’ve stopped on a Monday and a Tuesday before and they are closed. We also stopped one evening and it was closed for a private party. The food was good and would have been worth the wait if we had been told / warned about it ahead of time. Highly recommend the fried chicken which should take about 15 minutes, but it took ours over a half hour! Unfortunately, we were then late to our appointment…

Had not been here in quite some time thought I’d give it a try. It was excellent. I’d call it more of an upscale diner. They have a pretty varied menu and you can get a steak, a pasta dish, salmon, burger, or sandwich. I had the steak sandwich, it was great. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area.

We went in the afternoon. It was a cozy, comfortable, and friendly atmosphere. We had the green chili cheeseburgers with garlic fries. I kid you not: I have had burgers in many, many places including the Owl Cafe which claims they have the best burgers in the world, well they are at La Mesita!! Come taste and judge for yourself! We returned another time and had the t-bone and fried chicken! Excellent!!

I waited a long while(20min) 4 a steak 10oz.( medium rare). When it came, it was not cooked extra rare, with at least 3oz, of fat!. I sent it back. When it came the rice was dry. The service of the lady waitress was quiet but consistent . The man who was my server, was always cleaning. Never asked how my food was or even glance my way. He was in a big hurry. Only 2 servers. 5 tables with folks. NOT IMPRESSED!!!!. I PAID 28 BUCKS 4 MY MEAL. I don’t mind paying 4 good food. Low quality sucks!!! NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!
