AMAZING service, honestly some of the best service iv probably ever gotten. we came much later than our reservation near closing, but they still let us dine in which was . the waiter was dxtremely kind and polite, and they really made the experience v nice. we went for valentines and the ambience was definitely set for it. a gorgeous restaurant with beautiful decor, we loved the vibe. we ordered the mushroom ravioli and tiramisu, we both wished the portions were bigger esp for the price, but the flavor was amazing in both. v good restaurant to enjoy every once in a while 🙂

Certainly a hidden gem. Food was delicious. My fiancé had the chicken parm which was great and I had the fettucine bolognese, so far the best I’ve had. The service is incredible, very informative of their ingredients and they make sure to take care of all your needs. Overall, I recommend the restaurant and hope to be able to visit again.

We made a reservation for a large party online and had to pay $15/person to reserve the table, but when the check came there was no credit for the reservation charge. So, be aware of that if you go with a large party.

Best artichokes I’ve had since being to Italy. The gnocchi was pillowy and smooth. The sauces on everything were delicious, particularly their red sauce and blush. Arancini were crisp w/ a gooey cheese center; could have used a little more salt, but the spicy red sauce really jazzed it up.

Food is great, I have to say that first. Unfortunately I came here for a birthday dinner this past month, and arranged for a per person menu with individual apps and dinner which is confirmed in the email where I coordinated with someone. Once we were all seated it was all brought family style which I stated I didn’t want in the email, which was a bummer as we had many vegetarians and people with dietary concerns. I didn’t get to say anything in all the chaos, and wish I was asked first before they started bringing food out as the entire party wasn’t there. A little better communication and coordination would have been appreciated. Nonetheless the food was good and I will be back, just not the place for bigger events in my opinion.

Great date night byob spot. We started with the arugula salad. The candied walnuts were a nice touch with the goat cheese. We had the carbonara and bolognese for our entrees both very tasty. The polenta was especially yummy in the carbonara. To finish we had their affogato. It was definitely a perfect finishing touch to a great nice at La Nonna.

Took a walk on a nice Sunday evening looking for a place to stop and eat with no particular destination in mind. Wound up on South Street, and found “La Nonna’s” (214 South), and decided to give it a shot. Had never been. My girlfriend and I started with the fried calamari, which was done correctly. Cooked to perfection, perfect texture, no rubberiness. My girlfriend had the Enochi from the menu in blush sauce. She said it was the best blush sauce she ever had. Enochi’s were large, fluffy and perfect. I had the chicken parmesan, was also phenomenal. It was exactly what that dish should be. I assume it’s consistent, and probably served that way 10 out of 10 orders. All in all, we had a great time. The hostess and our server were very attentive and extremely cheery, but not at all overly bothersome at the table. After all was said and done I could not believe the entire check was just over $60, and with $75 total spent after tip we went on our merry way. We will definitely be back and I advise you to give it a shot. Can’t miss!!! Well done!!
