La Nortena Tamale Factory is excellent! Get the tamales and the burritos. Try one of everything! Authentic and delicious.

I finally gave in to give this place a try. The burritos were good, no complaints there. I’ve tasted many tamales from different places, but I’m sorry to say, for the price you pay for them here, it’s not worth it. Everyone has there likes and dislikes, but when a tamale is all dough with a little meat, it’s not good. I bought the red and green. Red was definitely a no go. The green was better, if it had a bit more meat, it be way better. Dough and meat was bland, to reheat them it was tricky. Like I said, many people love this place, maybe they’re used to it. If someone was to ask me if it’s worth trying them out, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Was in Pecos decided to try even though the locals told me they were crumble and overpriced. They were right the tamales were old and crumble even my friends who I gave them to did not like them. The upside was the staff was nice. We are even found a big bone in one. Wanted to like them but no sorry!

Breakfast tacos and bowls are really good here, tamales not so much as they are 80+% masa. They have a nice selection of fresh, frozen, dry goods, awesome fresh tortilla chips, and great sweets. Great staff as always. Beware… The tips are kept by the owners and not the staff. Pretty disgusting practice. Shame on you guys. Seem to be really nice folks, but that ain’t cool.

Flavor is still great. Always has been. A Pecos staple. But their tamales keep getting smaller and smaller year by year, and they keep raising the prices. In that pic my daughter took a small bite off the top. They’ll be the size of flautas soon. They used to be huge once upon a time.

So I’m working in West Texas and there’s not a lot of places to eat in Pecos but if you want some good homemade tamales this is the place. I don’t speak Spanish so you know there’s a language barrier there so the service was okay. But they do have a lot of tasty treats so get this place a try

It’s small in there so you can’t eat inside which is a bummer; but the food is great! We ordered the breakfast pizza and burritos they were soo good! They sell so many options!

Stopped in Pecos for dinner. I got a half dozen of the new habanero tamales. Very tasty. Not terribly spicy, but had good flavor. I took them camping, and they tasted just as good the next day too. A great gem in the area.
