We went here for a mother’s day dinner, and my skirt steak was delicious!! Great ambiance and good service. The fried calamari was also good, and the wine bottles are very reasonably priced. The rest of my group seemed to like their meals as well. Would definitely come back here!

I have been here a few times and I am always so delighted with my order! The pasta dishes taste so fresh and authentic. The restaurant feels intimate and is a good place for a date night.

The veal dishes basically all tasted the same even though we ordered different dishes. Also if there were 4 oz of veal on my plate that was a lot. I found the portions very small. Also they said us next to a door that they kept leaving open which made our food cold and us very chilled. The service was great but they can improve. I’ve been to Little Mom and Pop Italian restaurants that were better.

LA Notte has been a consistency of superb food and service in all 3 of its locations. The move to the Carlton has only served to increase the ambience that accompanies great food and service.

Great Night Out in Oak Park! La Notte is indeed a gem. For me this quaint spot on Marion Street checks all of the boxes. Fresh, Authentic, Family Owned and Managed, Passionate, Engaged, Flexible. The wine list was wonderful. The Limoncello a delight, the cannoli a dream. The amazing attention to detail is rarely found in the business these days and it was truly appreciated during our evening. The Italian sea bass was plated table side and not a single bone remained. It was perfectly complimented by the grilled vegetables and prepared to order pasta. I am told it is made from scratch daily. (it sure tasted like it was) If you don’t see it on the menu.. ask and they will prepare it for you! I am looking forward to my future experiences at La Notte in Oak Park!

Update 5/2021 – after moving, this place somehow managed to get worse. See my review on Victory – and I can’t believe I’m saying this – but you’re better off going there. The owner is completely checked out. Most everything is from a can (including the artichokes in the antipasti, or stale meat plate as it should be called – see the photo with the prosciutto that looks like it sat out all day) and the Vitello Piccata had so much salt I had to spit it out. When we asked the owner so taste it he had the nerve to say “I don’t need to taste it, I know how it should taste”. What?

i had chicken & shrimp fettuccine… the shrimp tastes like it’s straight out the ocean, i told the Italian man & he goes “ well its seafood” like no, seafood that’s cooked correctly would not smell so strong ! The Chicken had a burnt taste. My lemon drop was good, and cute atmosphere… but no, not worth the money… i like poor Phil’s next door, all of their food was good
