We went here for the first time on Cinco De Mayo. The service was great. It got busy after 5:30pm. They had a blood orange margarita as a special for the holiday. Three of the people in our group got them. Two said they were not strong but one said it was strong. They all agreed they were good. They then switched to a prickly pear and one person liked it better then the other. The chips were the best I have had in a long time, very light and crispy. The salsa was spicy. Everyone agreed that the food was really good. The staff was personable and the environment was pleasant. I had carnitas in my taco salad which was full of meat and was very delicious.

Great location right on the main road SR-85. Had lunch here and the food and service was good. Love the honestly cozy vibe. Great decor to match the cuisine. It want to busy for lunch so we were seated and served very quickly and efficiently. House made salsa was full of flavor rather than just spicy with no flavor. Green chili quesadilla is my partner’s favorite as he mentioned this place to me a few times. He and the fellas stop here as they wrap up their hunting sessions. Green chili enchiladas were really good.

OMG! What a wonderful experience we had here. The food was phenomenal as well as the service. V, our server, is the best ever. She gave us recommendations for lunch. She was absolutely spot on! We are definitely returning to sample the rest of their menu items.

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much upon walking through the door due to the lack of folks. However, it was probably due to being the day before Thanksgiving. I was kindly seated in the bar area, which looked fairly new and clean. It resembled a Mexican beer hall, which was super cool! I ordered the two green enchiladas from their lunch menu and was very impressed. Great Mexican food at a reasonable price. Their salsa could use a little more kick, but I’m not upset, since it was savored with red chiles. I even ordered a budweiser with my lunch, which paired perfectly with my meal. My only hangup was the lack of a drink menu- I would’ve ordered more if I had one. Plenty of parking g and seating for all your friends and family. #SupportLocal

When I grew up in Buckeye, this place was there. While I am not going to date myself but telling my age, let’s just say Buckeye had only one main road through town when I was little. Anyways La Placita has good food if you ever find yourself in historic Buckeye. I stopped through a few weeks after a day of dove hunting. I had the old standby and my personal favorite, the green ghile quesadilla and shredded beef tacos, with chips and salsa. I also tried the Mexican pizza although it was not in the same class as my previously mentioned favorites. If you ever find yourself going down memory lane or just off the beaten path. Stop in and enjoy an old taste of Buckeye at La Placitas!!!

This place has fantastic food, and we certainly keep going back to try something different. However, I hate that I have to ask for a regular cup for my drink (if I wanted a Styrofoam cup, I would go to a fast food place), and the service can be a bit slow sometimes. Luckily, the delicious food makes up for the other things.

I’ve given this place two chances and unfortunately was disappointed on both occasions. I love enchiladas and ordered the same plate both times I was there. The whole plate was bland, from the enchiladas to the beans and rice. Blew my mind.

I really wanted to like this place I prefer local. Service was okay she was a bit forgetful, but they were busy. Food was slow to arrive, and it was cold and incorrect when it did arrive. We were so hungry waiting we just ate what we could, had some items corrected, and moved on. Side note we love chips and salsa, this was so hot only 2 of the 5 of us could tolerate. We asked for something milder she brought us something that resembled what chunky Pico you would add to something you are cooking. Huge chunks of garlic and tomatoes. Not quite what we are looking for with chips.

We couldn’t get anyone to wait on us . We sat there for almost 30 minutes with only chips and salsa and no drinks till we stopped the bus bot and he brought us drinks. After speaking to the manager he said he would send someone right over but the waitress came in and went directly to a table that just sat down. We got up and left.

Service was slow. Food was cold. Our call ahead Group took 1.5 hours to get our food from the first person to the last who boxes it up and left. The excuse was the kitchen was understaffed but the owner “a chef” sat at a table doing nothing. Then the hostess came and tried to blame the Point of sale system and the waitress for our food coming out in 20 minute increments. Multiple tables (15+ people) came after us got their food and left before our final person got his cheese crisp. The enchiladas were cold and the sauce was weird and creamy with no spice or flavor. My cheese crisp the cheese was not fully melted the top layer was but underneath was still semi shredded.
