Went for a quick lunch, was in and out in 25 minutes and ordered 2 lengua tacos. I had already eaten one when I remembered to take a picture. I had the salsa verde with my tacos and it wasn’t really spicy. Definitely recommend if you are looking for authentic Mexican food.

I had never heard of, let alone been to La Placita Taqueria until it was suggested to me by a family member recently. To say that it far exceeded my expectations is an understatement. For someone who doesn’t speak a lick of Spanish, they were friendly, patient, and beyond helpful. The service was superb. I cannot recall ever having better Mexican food. Their prices are more than reasonable with very filling portions. I’ve since been back numerous times, and every time the food is hot and delicious. La Placita Taqueria is now one of my favorite places to eat.

Authentic grocery, carnicería and Cafe with extensive authentic Mexican food. Had the Caldo de 7 mares and some tacos. Some of the best food I’ve had this side of the border. This place is a Waterloo gem.

If you have never been to this store or you are missing out. Not only do they have a huge selection of Mexican staples they have a stand inside. Of course they make other things and tacos but you absolutely have to go into La Placita.

Fantastic place! Looks like they had recently moved to the store across the street. This is a legit taqueria. Even serving up tacos on homemade tortillas. Got horchata ✅ Al pastor ✅. Had to shop the store for some conchas before we left. We found the spot for sure! Be back for that Al pastor, carnitas were bomb too
