The Seabird Chicken Sandwich did not disappoint! Smokey, creamy, crispy, complex and delicious . Quite spicy but without overpowering the other flavors. Had the elderberry hibiscus Arnold Palmer with it and it was bomb. The lemonade added just the right tang and touch sweetness.

Great little shop with tables and good atmosphere. Had the Seadrift sandwich (spicy) so good. The fresh biscuits are also delicious along with homemade blueberry jam.

La Playa Soul is off the charts delicious. Home cooked style. They do not skimp on the heat. The specialty drinks are amazing. Try the Hot honey chicken biscuit and the iced dulce de leche coffee.

Biscuits were fantastic! One of the best hole in the wall. Got the biscuit and gravy biscuit, chicken biscuit with hot honey, and hush puppies with Chipotle aioli. Definitely recommend if you like biscuit. Definitely going back when visiting the area.

Great spot, with cafe like feel. It’s clean, fresh, and the food is very good. We had the biscuit breakfast sandwich, biscuit and gravy and steel cut oats. All were delicious!

Ordered the Biscuit French Toast combo with eggs and bacon and a horchata latte. The food was decent. They didn’t offer syrup, and the French Toast was very salty. The whipped cream was very sweet though and almost made up for the lack of syrup! The Horchata latte was awesome with exception of the size; very small. The staff was very friendly and attentive and made it obvious that they care about their job. The vibe inside was busy and pleasant but a little confusing. On one side is a couple tables fitting of the small local cafe style food and drinks offered, but on the other side is restaurant style seating unfitting of the paper plates, paper straws, and plastic utensils offered with the overpriced food and beverages. If the prices were cheaper or the plates and utensils were quality I would rate 5 stars.

The biscuits are definitely their staple. Whether it be with fresh jam, as French toast, strawberry shortcake, or with hot honey chicken, you can’t go wrong.
