Absolutely some of the best food in Carlsbad real authentic caldos . food is well put together even their homemade chorizo is way better than store bought.. please give this a try . the owner is very knowledgeable in food preparation…next time you are in Carlsbad come try this place

This was our first time here 5.29.22 Sunday. The food was okay, there isn’t much of a selection even though it is a buffet, you get the basic Tex/Mex favorites just made differently. My parnter & myself had ordered the Menudo. It was good nothing amazing & nothing less. If your looking for a quick bite this is the place.

Our family enjoyed some authentic homemade Mexican food at La Regia after our trip to Guadalupe Mountain National Park. Our server (Paco) and kitchen staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome at their restaurant. The red salsa that came with the chips was deliciously spicy and all of the food we ordered was very good!! The rice & beans that came with the plates we ordered were some of the best we’ve had. The beef (carne asada) was a little too tough and had to be chewed on for a while, so was hard to eat. The food was also extremely greasy so it was delicious but difficult to finish the meal. Overall, we recommend trying out this restaurant if you live in Carlsbad or are visiting one of the many tourist attractions.

A must stop if you are in Carlsbad! Delicious, Fresh Mexican buffet! The staff is wonderful as well. Traveling from white sands to Carlsbad caverns and stopped in for some breakfast, wow! You won’t be disappointed! So delicious. So many options….

Soooo good, and cool in a chill way. The food is fresh, delicious, and large portions. They made a retro building modern, clean, and welcoming. Great music & comfy chairs. They went out of their way to make my partner an incredible vegan burrito with veggies, tofu, avocado, and sauce. Super nice staff.

Lots of scrumptious items to pick from. All very tasty. Staff very nice. Living in Carlsbad since 1979, best Mexican food I have had here. So good I am splurging there again today. Yummy!! This is my new go-to for Mexican dining. Kudos to this great place.

La Regia is a wonderful place to eat! I’ve enjoyed each meal immensely. Everything I’ve had has been delicious and not a sign of being prepackaged. I finally tried the Buffet and was amazed at the variety, quality and distinct flavor of each dish!!!

Went for breakfast as we had done in the past, and no sausage, bacon, or eggs on the buffet. I asked the waitress about this and she replied that if I wanted all that that I needed to buy it separately since it wasn’t on the buffet. Last time I was there all that was available and pancakes to. I paid my bill for eating lunch since that’s what it was and headed straight to Dennys and there I was able to enjoy pancakes, sausage and bacon, you know breakfast I guarantee you that I will never go back to that place. Oh and no refills on our drinks either, guessing no one wanted to be there on that Saturday……. What a shame!
