La Scarpetta is the real deal Italian in Addison! Went for dinner on a Monday night and were seated right away. Our server came and greeted us just a few minutes after we sat and she was very sweet and friendly. My sis and I ordered a couple of drinks and calamari to start with. Beer was ice cold and the calamari was flaky and tender, not rubbery at all. We then ordered to pasta dishes. Server comes back with bad news that the kitchen was out of porchetta, so my first choice wasnt available. She was genuinely sorry and gave me a few minutes to pick another dish. I decided on the penne with vodka sauce and added a meatball. Let me tell you…it was amazing. Pasta was super fresh and the sauce was creamy and rich. Superb. Our attentive server visits us as we’re finishing up and offers us a complimentary dessert. We take her up on it and go with the carrot cake , which yup, was amazing. When she brings us the bill ,she tells us that my pasta dish ,as well as the dessert, was comped. They went above and beyond and made our night. I’m bringing the whole family next time!!!!

Enjoyed the salmon funghi with mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach & pasta with a white wine sauce. Amazing! Salmon prepared just right with a perfect crust and complimenting sauce. Get the fresh tiramisu with an espresso martini, a great way to top off the meal!

Was in the Addison for a business meeting, and we met at La Scarpetta. The atmosphere and ambiance of this restaurant is absolutely stunning! From the beautiful fireplace, mosaic tiles, granite counter at the bar; you definitely get the full 360-experience between the ambiance, food and service!

My husband and I are actually not from Chicago and we were only here for the weekend. We stopped at this restaurant late at night on 4/24 as we were searching for a quiet place to have dinner. We were greeted very nicely by the host. Our waiter was Andy who was absolutely fantastic! He was very friendly and was very knowledgeable about the menu, listening to our preferences and gave suggestions.

We came here for a quick dinner before seeing a movie across the street. The food was wonderful. Andy our server was phenomenal; he said that the chef could custom our order a dish. He did. We tried a mixture of their homemade vodka sauce with their recommended meatballs with pasta and mushrooms. Tremendous. We met the owner who was very gracious. The atmosphere was cozy, romantic and generally very appealing. All in all an A+ experience. We will be back very soon.

We ate here back in December and the food was delicious. Our waitress Kim was very friendly and even made my girlfriend a special drink since she wasn’t a fan of anything on the menu. The food came out quickly and perfectly. We came back for Valentine’s day and even though it was crowded the food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good Italian eat.

So the ambiance at this place is AMAZING. You can tell there was a lot of thought put into the decor. The service was really attentive and made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying their food. Last but not least, the food. I ordered the salmon and it was so well cooked and they even made it blackened just how i like it. Overall 5 stars. I will be back.

The food is spectacular, I ordered the gnocchi and it was so fresh and delicious. The service is great, too; everyone is very friendly. I definitely recommend the chocolate molten lava cake for dessert, it was the BEST lava cake I’ve ever had!
