When you want a total family experience and fresh, hot off the stove, delicious Italian meal, La Scogliera is the place to be. It has a small dining room with about 14 tables, depending on the settings. There’s also a well stocked, separated bar area with seating at the counter and a few more small tables for dining.

Food was very tasty and came out surprisingly quick. I wish I had the option of getting my side of pasta plain. I got a veal dish that the tomato sauce just didn’t go with. I would have preferred to have had it plain so I could eat it with the sauce my meal came with. Next time I will request it plain.

WOW! As a local family run restaurant, this place was far more superior than I expected! The staff was friendly and kind. The food was mouth watering delicious and Authentic! I highly recommend the Linguine and Clams. Fabulous wine selection- whoever picked out these wines, knows wine! Super clean bathroom. Ample parking. Beautiful dining room. Next time I am in town, I will be back!

was here pre-covid and it was amazing. not sure what happened. recently had dinner here, and it was not a good experience. service was not good, took 20 minutes to get check after I asked for it, ordered a drink which never came. food was cold and the portions were tiny. easily could have eaten 2 of what I ordered – and it was not cheap!

I’m just a Nashville girl, on a work trip, stumbling across this delightful AUTHENTIC Italian restaurant, humbly begging you to try the cake that is baked in house by the owner. I got the white chocolate with almond and coconut cake to go, and had to forcibly stop myself from eating it all in the hotel room all in one go. Not sweet at all, but creamy, rich and dense with toasted almond. It made this three-day work trip worth it.

I used to frequent La Scogliera when I lived in Shelton- however will not go back after my experience yesterday. Took a friend out for a nice meal- and was anything but. One meal came out cold, one was incorrect, and all without sides. Calamari was a tiny portion, and not very good. Pasta was still full of water.We requested to speak to an owner, and she had an poor and aggressive attitude telling us ‘things happen, don’t make a scene’ when she was the one making a scene. You do not speak to paying customers in that manner; in fact I have never spoken to someone in that manner, ever…needless to say I will not be back. Portion sizes, quality of food, and owner attitudes have all gone downhill- dramatically.

Delmonico steak was very tough, and stuffed shrimp was overcooked, and stuffing was bland. Others in my party said the chicken parm was ok but the clams and linguine had too much oily sauce. Fried calamari was very good. Service was good.

Wonderfully authentic Italian restaurant. La Scogliera is neatly appointed with a warm welcoming family environment. The owners are from Calabria who prepare fresh pasta dishes with many homemade pasta choices. The staff members are extremely friendly and jovial which compliments the vibe of the restaurant itself. My wife and I, being Italians ourselves, were extremely impressed with the quality, taste, and presentation of the food that was prepared for us. The Calamari fra diavolo was the most delicious calamari that my wife and I have ever had in any restaurant. I would hands down recommend La Scogliera to all of my family and friends.
