This is my 2nd time here, and it was fantastic both times! Not pictured, but the empanadas are my go-to for apps. We also had the Maduro con queso, *chefs kiss* . Please come and eat this delicious food!

Stumbled upon this gem on a Saturday. We opted to sit outside and it was a great spot – esp because the kids could be a little bit more free as we were the only ones seated outside. Yummy plantain chips and dip to start with, on the house! We ordered ceviche (mixed) , and a seafood soup. The portions are large and the food was fresh and delicious! The kids rated the chicken tenders and salchipapas 5/5. Glad we gave it a chance!

This Ecuadorian cuisine place opened up in the place of 21 Oak after it closed and I barely noticed this new place was open. Glad I stopped in. Ceviche was on point, delicious and fresh. Empanadas were also tasty. And the fish soup was so savory and good. Staff were very nice. Recommended.

This place a GEM. We were walking around with the intention to go to Mulberry only to realize it was closed and found La Toquilla was open. We tried the bistec apanada and Moro con chuleta and WOW. La Toquilla is absolutely delicious, very clean, and everyone inside was super nice! I will be going again soon!

I’ve been going to the restaurant with my husband since they opened. The food is amazing! the flavor, the presentation and service are the best. The staff is so kind and friendly. The prices and the portion of food you get are fair. My husband is American and when he tried their dishes he loved them. It makes me feel like home every time I go there. The best Ecuadorian restaurant in CT!
