La Villita Mexican Grill. Wow. It is great to have real Mexican food in town. They stay true to the roots of Mexico. Easy to get to from the bypass. It is a straight shot just pass Wal-Mart, at the four way light in the heart of Historical Jason Kentucky. Very friendly service. A small place with big flavors. Food made fresh everyday. This is a must have if you live or passing through.

I am glad my friends just happened to stop here for dinner on a whim. The food was excellent! Very authentic, unlike most other Americanized Mexican restaurants. I ordered the molcajete and I have to say theirs ruined all other places molcajete for me. This was by far the best I’ve ever had. I will definitely be back anytime I’m in the area.

The food was really good. It’s not your typical Mexican restaurant. The salsa was more like a thin sauce but it was really good. The cheese dip is like other Mexican restaurants but I feel like you get more for your money here. The tortillas are homemade and you can tell. They are good. I had the beef street tacos. They were tasty. They had raw onion on them and I’m not a fan of raw onion so I just picked it off. It also came with some sort of spicy relish which was good. They come with lots of cilantro. My husband got fajitas and they were really good. My dtr ate them too, plenty for two people. There is a section of Honduras food on the menu that I want to try. It looks interesting. I feel like it’s more of an authentic Central American restaurant vs Americanized Mexican. I didn’t give it 5 just because I asked one of the waitresses what the salsa was and she said she doesn’t know she just hands it out. A bit disorganized but it is the first week so I’m sure they will work it out.

This is no longer a Mexican food place. It’s now a pizza place. They have not changed the name. First time visitors looking for a place to eat and wanted Mexican food…was very disappointed but the pizza was good. Don’t be fooled like we were.
