We went to Le Voile to celebrate our anniversary on a Saturday night. The restaurant was quite busy but the ambiance was just perfect for a date night. We ordered leek and potato soup and Les Moules (mussels in curry sauce) for our apps. For the main course we had braised lamb shoulder and roasted duck breast. The lamb was cooked to tenderness and the gratin that came with it was absolutely delicious. I was not a fan of the roasted duck, I wish the skin was made crispier than it was. Our server was attentive and the service was excellent.

I loved the service and atmosphere, but I was disappointed with the flavor of the duck, or La Magret, as it’s called. It lacked flavor and didn’t have the type of crust I was expecting. But everything else was fantastic.

Food was really good and besides all the bees, the atmosphere was really nice! Only complaint is that they weren’t the most knowledgeable about food allergies and gave me things without checking if it was safe even though I stated my allergies when ordering. Though, they were nice and accommodating with my requests. Thankfully I asked a lot of questions too and avoided any issues. Just wish they were more knowledgeable / trained on how to deal with them. Besides that, they were friendly and the service was good.
