The highly-lauded Restaurant St. Jack from the NW district opens a new location, south of Portland in Lake Oswego.
Chef and restaurateur Aaron Barnett features rustic dishes from the countryside of Lyon – the heart and soul of French cooking – while providing his own unique twist from a French-Canadian background. Chef de Cuisine, Elise Walker helms the new take on the menu, bringing her own, distinct palate to what Aaron and St Jack have built.
While many classics from the menu and the beverage list will remain, there will be several new dishes to savor, new cocktails to imbibe and a full, well-rounded wine list to dive into upon your visit.
Based on 44 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.4 stars. Price $$$$

We had oysters, steak tartare, mussels, branzino, and everything was fabulous. The restaurant itself is new, spacious, and if you can get a booth you’ve got it made. We had a Wednesday dinner and not so busy. So our server was very attentive. I’m excited to try other things on the menu.

Great Portland food brought to Lake O. From the top tier Portland restaurant St Jack, Lac St Jack did not disappoint. All the starters and main courses were great, the staff were easygoing and helpful, restaurant and bathrooms clean. An open kitchen and good vibes all around. Great wine list. Fries were insanely good, steak was tender, desserts were also fab.

I always have enjoyed the location in NW 23rd and finally got a chance to try the new location in Lake O. The service was great and attentive. Everything we ordered was great. Definitely would order the tomato soup again and the huge portion if ribeye with frites. The cocktails were also amazing.

Interesting menu with some well executed dishes. French onion soup topped with puff pastry especially good. Note: very noisy bar vibe on Friday night so you might want to try a weeknight.

Overall dinner was fine and service was very good. We ordered the albacore crudo, tomato salad, steak frites, and mussels. However for the price of the dishes, nothing stood out as being quite worth the cost.

Actually have been here 3 times! The cocktails are the best in Portland! The bartenders Nick and Jasmine and management went out of their way to make my experience enjoyable. Food was excellent and I found the service was quite fast.

Sat at the bar for an impromptu cocktail and didn’t leave until dinner and dessert was done. Jasmine the bar tender was awesome and the cocktails were spectacular – recommend The Dream Scenario. The steak tartar, albacore tuna, and mussels were fantastic. We will be back soon!

Three stars are for the staff and atmosphere, however I would give the food and drinks 2 stars.

Atmosphere and food flavor was good. But some plates were very salty, and some were dried from sitting too long before serving. The beans in my Salmon dish were also a little undercooked.
