Top notch diner. Super friendly and full of veterans. There were so many veterans in there I was truly humbled. Thank you all for your service to our country!!

Great little gem! The place has a like home feel walking through the door. The staff and Veterans was as others described. Food options, quantity, and quality can’t be beat!

Um, so I feel bad but the food was horrible.. Everything we ordered was burt, overdone and dry.. I definitely do not recommend this as a stop for good service and good country food.. The bacon was burned, the bread was stale, literally crumbling, burgers were cooked so long they were dry and black from the grill, fries were dirty brown in color and hard, cornbeef hash was black and gross and the lettuce was brown with overdone and crispy eggs.. Our waitresses never came back after dropping off our last plate of food.. Everything came out at different times.. Payment is made at cash register with extremely high prices! We paid 35$ for two tiny disgusting burgers, burt fries, two orders of cornbeef hash, a tiny bag of Lay’s potatoe chips and a cup of black watered down coffee. Extremely disappointed for what I thought was going to be a delicious country stop

One of the best local mom and pop-type restaurants in Frederickaburg. Food always tastes fresh cooked, just for me and the hometown service and friendly atmosphere can’t be beat. Loved our pancakes, bacon, ham and cheese omelet with onion added home fries and buttered English muffin … all bursting with flavor.

Lafayette Diner is a great hometown family diner. The staff and patrons are very friendly, each time I have been here everyone says hello. Have always been seated promptly and have attentive service. Meals are served promptly and delicious. The portions are enormous and I regret eating it all every time 🙂 have been back many times and plan to go back regularly.

Service and food excellent. Best kept secret of the burg. Our very own hometown diner. Anything I’ve had has been fresh and homemade. It’s like my grandma is cooking for us again. Never had an issue with anything. Food is always fresh, hot and served with a smile.

This is truly hometown cooking with a smattering of family comfort. I stole a piece of toast from my husband to get every last bit of syrup and dippy eggs off my plate. I would love it if they got turkey bacon or turkey sausage.

This place was AWESOME!! I’m from out of state and it’s hard to find a diner with proper bar seating but this place had the cutest one I’ve seen. Also the food was delicious and I barely had to wait. The ladies behind the counter were also helpful enough to point me in the direction of the GOOD thrift stores so I was super happy and I felt very welcomed there! Maybe next time I’ll try the salt fish but I’ll probably just get the amazing pancakes again.

What an incredibly sweet waitstaff! This is the diner. Regulars, good ole diner food – the French toast and eggs were great! Nice spot to call home in Fredericksburg

This is small-town America. Best breakfast in the area. Small, mom-and-pop, family-run diner were everybody knows everybody. Owners(husband and wife) are both nice, hard-working people who are there every day, open-close. The service is always top shelf. Lots of regulars/locals who are there day-after-day, so you know it’s good. The place is absolutely packed Sunday mornings. Delicious, hearty, homemade food. Best sweet tea I’ve ever had, hands down. None of the food is processed or straight out of a package. Not many places like this still around anymore.
