Nice Italian restaurant with creative offerings including wild boar and duck. They also serve a vegan ravioli, which was tasty. Drinks are great! They work hard to provide a good meal, but we found it was just short of excellent, but can’t quantify why.

The atmosphere was less than desirable. Tables and chairs are old and run down. The place felt almost dirty. It really could use an overall cleaning and refresh. Disappointing really.

My wife and I were there last month on vacation. Once was take out, once was dine in. The food was good but not great either time. The prime rib was a bit dried out and very fatty to the point where about 1/3 of it was fat. The pasta dish I had was ok but way too spicy. The lamb appetizer was good but for some reason when I ordered it for a main course it wasn’t as good. The service was excellent though.

Luan and I had excellent ceasar salads before two superb entrees. She had the cheese ravioli special with a full lobster tail and scallops in a light rosa sauce. My meal was a fabulous veal chop with a marsala reduction, with mushrooms and a bit of cream mixed in. Chef / owner Frank was warm and open discussing what went into our meals and the service from Sarena was very good. If you’re in Newport VT be sure to stop.
