Stopped in here for a late lunch just as happy hour was beginning (apps and chips are half off!). Started off with some fresh chips and salsa (8/10), the queso fundido (8/10), and the house marg (8/10), all of which were way above average. The salsa has a good flavor without too much heat, and the queso was stringy and melty in the best way. For the main entree, I ordered the chiles en nogada, a dish I’ve seen and heard about but never tried before. It turned out to be one of the best Mexican entrees I’ve ever had (9.5/10!) and I’ve had a looooot of Mexican food in my life. I was genuinely surprised at just how exceptionally tasty the dish was – every component added just the right flavor and texture profile to the overall dish without anything being “too much”. Even the rice and beans were excellent. My server was very warm, friendly, and provided just the right amount of efficient service without being overbearing. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, was very clean, and the booths and tables are well spaced (bucking the trend of venues providing less and less space per table, thankfully). As an added bonus, the neighborhood surrounding this restaurant is super cool and walkable so if you eat and drink too much, you can work it off afterward. This is my new favorite Mexican joint in the Boulder-Longmont area.

What an amazing restaurant. I enjoyed the berria so much. A bit spicy and both sauces were great. Chips were good and spicy salsa just the way I like it. Maybe the best I have ever had. The tres letchas was on point.

Great atmosphere, food, service. Son and I shared the fajitas with chicken and steak. Only complaint I have is it was 70% red, green peppers. Pry 10% onions, 10% Chicken and 10% Steak. Flavor was great. The rice, beans, sour cream, quacamole, chips and salsa all good. The house margarita was good too. Nice cool place and vibe maybe next time I’ll get more meat see pic of pepper plate.

Food was delicious and very friendly service! This is our new go to Mexican restaurant after we had several poor experiences in a row at another Mexican restaurant in Longmont that we had been loyal to for the last 10 years. Unfortunately that restaurant’s food and service went downhill so we are happy to have found Laguna! Very fresh and authentic food.

Tasty and authentic Mexican food! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for the real deal – flavor, portions, and ambiance on point molcajete is my favorite dish here but anything on the menu is great! Margs are tasty as well. Best Mexican food in Longmont and live music on saturdays!

I forgot to take pictures of my food, but the cheese enchiladas were fantastic! The atmosphere in here with spray painted murals on every wall was so beautiful and welcoming. Luis took time to talk to me about the live music they have on Saturdays as well as his plans for the summer. I am excited to come back and bring my kids!! Definitely a hidden gem between the food, atmosphere, & service!
