I got the quarter roast chicken and portion size was good. You get 3 sides to choose from. The breast was surprisingly juicy but the leg was very tough. The sides are all very bland. Instant mashed potatoes and gravy and steamed veggies. The name made me think it might have some local food dishes. I would definitely go to CPK next time.

Contrary to many other reviews, I found the mash and gravy to be very tasty. The fried chicken was nice, albeit a tad salty, the roast pork and roast beef were tender and flavourful. Actually quite surprised to read the negative reviews here. Oh and the vegetables were nice too , perhaps reminiscent of school lunches but I don’t mind that lol

Was excellent, the food was great. Here’s my tip to people that are planning to go: order the beef. The beef isn’t on the menu, but it’s available and it is the best. It’s pretty good for $18 since it comes with three sides.

The chicken was moist and fell off the bones. Fried chicken was crispy with good flavor. The sides were average – the veggies tasted like they were frozen and steamed enough to be warm. We got some fried chicken a la carte and a 1/4 dark meat chicken meal coming out at 23$.

I was initially intimidated by the poor review, but other restaurants nearby aren’t too appetizing either, so I gave it a shot. It was pretty good. At least the fried chicken is pretty legit. The flavor is pretty good and the skin is crispy. The veggies are mediocre though.

The mashed potatoes with gravy was so good that we had to order it again. Also, the roasted chicken, prime rib, corn, green beans (garden grown), Stromboli, and salad was delicious. I easily carved the chicken breast with plastic knives. It’s so fun eating delicious multicultural food in Hawai’i.
