We swung in here for a few pints and low and behold they had my all time favorite beer ON DRAFT!!! FRANZISKANER. We sat at the bar and the Bartender made very sure we were takin care of. The manager Mark swung by and chit chatted with us. What a good time. We found this place by seeking a place to go to before a movie.

This review is long overdue. We have been coming to the Lake House Bar and Grill about once a week for a long time and it is one of our favorites in Dallas. We usually finish up a bike ride or run around White Rock Lake at this little unassuming jewel. The food is delicious, the staff is wonderful, the owner is very hands-on and caring person and the atmosphere is very laid back and comfortable. It is a great little brunch spot on Sat and Sun. Some of our favorites are the Calamari, Mussles, Shrimp Avocado Salad, Shrimp Po-Boy and Crab Cake sandwich to name a few. Oh! and the garlic butter fries are to die for! Very relaxed atmosphere and nice cool pet friendly patio. The chef is accomodating to special requests if it is possible. Lots of great experiences but a few extra-mile service experiences to mention: after a long bike ride from Arlington, we experienced heat exhaustion and the server (I want to say Heather ((I hope that is correct)) gave almost 911 care and attention, bringing pitchers of water to pour over, cold towels, allowed to lie down on bench outside…anything needed and not asked for anything in return. 2. On 4th of July, the restaurant was closed, but the owners family was there using the patio privately. He was so kind to offer cold ice water and rest on the patio after a long hot ride in 100* heat. We look forward to many more meals there and bringing many more friends in the years to come.

Located just a bit off the north end of the trail around White Rock Lake in an unassuming white block is the Lake House. The non pretentious vibe carries through to not only the interior but the back dog friendly covered patio as well. Anchored at its center by a local beer stocked U shaped bar. Staff is friendly and efficient- Heather seems to somehow see what is needed before you have a chance to ask.

Exceptionally good ! I had only been here for brunch. Dinner items were really delicious. The meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy were so good. And the salmon with cauliflower mash didn’t disappoint either. Nice bartender, and servers. I will definitely be back for dinner again.

Don’t let your wife bump over a just set down 15 dollar drink with her purse on the way back from the bathroom. I guess that drink was worth no return visits from a customer that lives around the corner. I get they don’t need the business but really???… We weren’t trying to scam a drink and because we are nice Caucasian people we quietly accepted it and tipped… guess that is what you count on these days…. I’ll never come back here again… the Whistling Pig has better food and service!!!
