So this place just opened recently and it’s BOMB. I had the kokonte with goat and palm nut soup. It was delicious. Everyone was very courteous and the experience was super authentic (water bowl and everything). I highly recommend it

Amazing place, the guy named Ralph was a wonderful host. Tried african food for the first time, he gave us alot of time explaining the flavors and things to expect in cuisine.

This was my first time trying West African food. I got jollof rice with chicken. The meal was a generous portion of rice, two pieces of gently crispy chicken and a light, fresh salad.

Cute and small location along 28. I love jollof rice, especially Ghanaian, so when my friend suggested trying the place out, I was more than down.

I am new in this area and I discovered this lovely restaurant. I have tried all kinds of African restaurants and I must say this is a stand out spot. The food does taste great and very healthy. It is highly recommended.

After a long day of Amazon delivering, this Liberian chick had a specific craving and Googled local African restaurants. You just know when nothing else will suffice as you need a soothing bowl of fufu and soup, so I was compelled to find a local spot before heading back to the station. I lucked upon Lapaz and placed a carryout order for some Fufu and Palm Nut Soup (Palm Butter as we Liberians call it), and asked if they would mix it with a bit of Peanut Butter Soup and add plenty pepper, to which they were happy to oblige. I was starving by the time I arrived and decided to eat in and the young man behind the counter, Ralph, quickly accommodated my request.

I had a hard time with this review because the wait was very long however the service was great. I ordered the waakye and the rice and sauce was pretty good however the goat was extremely burnt. I asked the gentleman at the front if it was supposed to be cooked like that and he told me yes… however I have never had goat that burnt and dry anywhere. I may come back and try something else one day but I would definitely stay away from the goat.

I got the jollof rice with fried chicken and fried plantains. The jollof rice was very rich in flavor and extremely well cooked. The chicken was fried to perfection and was very savory and juicy. The plantains were made excellently as well. Will definitely be returning again.

Amazing food and service. My husband and I are guaranteed return customers. We got the fufu with the goat in light soup and then the Waakye with fried chicken. The dishes were huge and SO tasty. We loved the spice and flavors. Our server was incredibly kind and took the time to explain the dishes and how to eat them. We can’t wait to come again!
