Traveling from Jacksonville to Pensacola and we wanted Mexican food. Found Laredo’s and so glad we did! I had the pollo con crema (pictured) and my husband had the California burrito. Delicious! We will definitely come back on future travels.

Always a great meal every time we go. Staff is courteous and the owner is amazing. He always makes sure everyone is enjoying their meal. He works just as hard as his staff. We are glad to have Laredo’s in town. We don’t have to drive to Jacksonville just to get Mexican food. We have our own little gem here in Macclenny. I have not had a bad service and will continue to come out and eat at Laredo’s.

Very good authentic Mexican Eatery with great cuisine and friendly servers. The menu is diverse, the preparation quick, and the food excellent. I have eaten here several times and always leave happy and full. Lots of seating and parking, an easy stop all the way around for the best Mexican in Macclenny.

We went for dinner because we’ve heard good things about the food and drinks. It didn’t disappoint!! The free chips and salsa was awesome. The salsa was a little chunky with just a little kick but not too much. If you want you can crank it up with the hot sauce on the table. We ordered the chicken enchilada suiza (N-8) 4 enchiladas with beans and rice. The chicken was cooked perfectly with great flavor and very tender. Definitely was not overcooked which we’ve been experiencing at another local location not here. There was so much food we shared the meal. We will definitely be back! We spent about $20 total with a tip. CRAZY. Ps: this is obviously a favorite local restaurant, the place was full. Luckily we got seated right away.

Walked out of place…. Maybe I’m being harsh but if you walk in and have a waitress telling the hostess that they need to “chill” because she is busy. Meaning to stop sitting people in. I was then seated wait staff passed by me several times without acknowledgement. Until finally got asked if I wanted chips. Never asked for my drink. No one had signs of attending me until the 14 people party was done ordering, so I walked out.

We ordered takeout, and it was within 30 minutes of closing so we kind of expected it to be iffy at best. Big surprise that everything was fresh, portioned well, and absolutely delicious. We will put this place in Macclenny Florida on our must go here again list. You’ll find this place in an off the beaten path older strip mall. Don’t let the exterior fool you or keep you from stopping, they have no control of the conditions of the strip mall. Everyone was friendly and didn’t act in anyway put out because it was close to closing time. Everyone knows how that attitude can be. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to stay open later on Friday and Saturday nights, and catch all the diners eating late when the rest of the town rolls up the street by 9 pm for the most part.

When I say this place is a hidden gem I mean just that. At first I was skeptical about the prices, but when I got my plate it was so much food for the price they charge. Not only was it worth the price but the plates were huge, the taste was amazing, service was excellent, and they definitely practice covid protocol spacing you out. This is one of my go toos whenever I’m in town. The pictures doesn’t do this place justice. I wish I had 10 stars to give.

I was going to laraedos about once a week and my meal would cost me roughly $10. Well, they recently changed the prices and not my meal now cost me roughly $15. Here recently, It also seems that the portions have been a little smaller. The service is typically great and the food comes out quickly during the week. Weekends are often a pretty solid wait. I can’t say that I’m thrilled about the price change but it’s not like the other Mexican restaurant in town is priced any better. Quite honestly, I don’t forsee myself returning with the new prices.
