Will never go back! I REORDERED a sub that was saved in my favorites and had it delivered. Sub was made correctly the last time. This time, all I got was a slice of meat and bread. When I called the store, the manager was extremely rude. He told me he didnt believe me and then said I needed to bring it back to the store. I explained to him that I had it delivered because I didnt have staff in place at the time where I could leave and asked if he could deliver. He said he was very short staffed and that my staffing and my sandwich was not his problem and if I wanted another I was to go to the store. Then he hung up. Well, my sandwich is YOUR problem! This could have been handled differently if he was just nicer about it.

It had been a while since I visited a Larry’s subs but since the Jacksonville Jaguars gave me a Teal Deals coupon book that Larrys Giant Subs participates in I wanted to give them another try. The coupon book says Larry’s Giants Subs is a proud partner of the Jaguars but after todays experience, I’m not so sure. After placing my order for 2 medium subs, the owner (DJ) came over to me and said the coupon was no longer valid because the “seasons over”. I was surprised to hear this and then upon viewing the coupon noticed the expiration date was March 6th and showed this to the owner. He repeated that the season is over and that too many people come into the store using the coupon. I then asked him if he was going to refuse accepting the coupon and he said yes and that he does not have to accept a coupon that his corporate office agreed to. He stated that he didn’t agree to it and wont accept it. I have to wonder, if he wont follow corporate guidelines on a simple coupon designed to drive new customers and new business, then what other short cuts will he take in other areas of his business. So I left the store, will never return and now have a very negative view of not just this Larrys’s subs but the entire chain. I should have just gone to Tropical Smoothie next door from the start.

They would not let me into the establishment without a mask even though there were others in the building without them, I tried to explain that I have a medical condition that keeps me from wearing a mask and they still told me to leave. This is discrimination and violates the American disability Act. In response to owner, you are still are violating the ADA and this restaurant is very small taking the mask off while sitting down to eat doesn’t keep covid from being in the air, it doesn’t dissipate at a certain height. Also you are denying me service based on my disability which would be like denying someone in a wheelchair service because they cannot walk. Well well we see now that what was being said before, that masks don’t work, is true. I will never visit another Larrys giant subs ever and will tell everyone I meet to steer clear of them because they will not serve people with disabilities and are covid nazis. I see you edited your response Owner because you are trying not to look like you and your employees were in the wrong. Whether it was in 2020/2021 you still violated the ADA and refused service based on a disability and even before there was ignored evidence showing masks didn’t do anything, you messed up and don’t want to take accountability.

I eat lunch at this Larry’s three, sometimes four, times a week and it is excellent every time I have it. I normally order online and it’s always ready for me when I arrive to pick it up. The owner and his family are genuine people and will make sure to take care of you. Can’t recommend The Cuban enough, it truly is the best in town.

Went there with my son to use a teal deal as season ticket holders of the jaguars and they would not honor the coupon even though it was not expired they said the season was over. If they wanted the coupon to expire when the season was over all they had to do was put that date on the coupon. What a lousy example of this franchise. I am sure corporate would be ashamed. All you have to do is read the last few reviews over the past month or so and you can tell this place will not make it much longer treating people like this and offering sub par food. Also look how the owner responds to people who leave negative feedback you can clearly tell this person is not meant to be in a service establishment better yet one that Otherwise takes care of their customers. We went up the street to Jax’s beach Larry’s and they had no problem taking care of us as usual.

I’ve been a frequent customer of this location for 10+ years, literally having lunch here 2-3 times a week. The family that owns this location are some of the nicest people you’ll ever come across in the food service industry. They care about their customers and are exceptionally friendly. Importantly, I’ve always found the food to be fresh and the portions generous. Given my positive experience as a long-time regular customer, I can only conclude that the negative reviews here are either fake, posted by employees of a competitor or by someone that’s just a habitual complainer. You cannot go wrong visiting this location, great ownership!

Absolutely stay away from this Larrys, i travel around the city for a living (im and ac technician) i eat at Larry’s twice a week all over Jax. This location is the worste. Today i cane in at 2:45 was the only person there and was givin a sloppy sandwich with meat and lettuce hanging all over it, the servixe was terrible and the owner was rude. Literally i was the only one there and he just threw a slop sub together. I will never go to this location again, just a heads up. I thrwe the sub away and did not even ask for my money back i was so over it.
