Great spot to grab a bite and enjoy close company. The food was superb and the service was excellent, but the seating is very scarce and the drinks selection is limited. Only four beers on tap at a time. Don’t come with a group of more than 4 because there are only two tables that seat six; most tables only seat two or four. If you’re an Akron local, it is worth trying on a spontaneous night out for dinner or a place to grab a brew after work. I love the film themed atmosphere and the old town vibe!

One of Akron’s (Hidden) Gems. Good food at reasonable prices (I would say the menu has typical bar food). Fantastic service and a terrific atmosphere (stained glass and old movie posters). As other reviews have mentioned it is small with very few TV’s, but that is part of the charm.

Seriously?! Less than a mile from our front door for over 9 years and just NOW the first time here. Please go! You won’t be disappointed! Al makes the BEST drinks and Sarah is the best server!

Always an amazing time and atmosphere. the owner, Alan, makes it a point to come to the table to say hi and establishes a relationship with you – you don’t see this happen too often anymore! It’s typically the same crowd on the weekend which is great because then you become friendly with everyone. Great service and prices. Will continue to come here week after week!

This is a hidden gem!! Don’t expect fancy table cloths, napkins, tables, or décor. However, you can expect off the charts food, well-crafted stiff drinks, and a cozy neighborhood feel. This family-run small business is small but that only adds to the charm. Ask Alan, the owner/bartender, for the history and you will see how this place has been a community staple for years.

Pub all the way with it’s dark wooden and old English style interior- fantastic all you can eat fish fry Friday’s during lent for $8.99. The pic here has the fish with veggies instead of the fries. The batter is light and crispy and the fish was light and delicate and clearly fresh. As a lunch spot (how I enjoyed it), definitely four stars. I imagine as a happy hour spot (which I have not done) this would be a 5 simply because it has the true pub feel and friendly neighborhood bar type attitude and service

I’m visiting from out of town because my Mom lives here and was looking forward to trying your prime rib. I called them up and was told “We haven’t had prime rib in a couple of years!”. I get that, but maybe you all should update your menu. So now,I have to look elsewhere.
