There are a lot of restaurants to choose from in Freehold, in such a beautiful setting with brick lined streets, canopies of trees, and flowers everywhere. My goal was to try this authentic Peruvian restaurant where I read they make the best authentic ceviche, and they weren’t kidding! Carlos the owner was the cook, and I was so very impressed! The service was excellent, festive music playing with decor that will take you to Peru for a moment in time. Don’t pass this little place up! There were so many dishes on the menu to choose from, I’ll have to come back over and over to try them all.

The food is good but the menu has no prices. It seems like they charge you based on your appearance. $75 plus tax and tip for lunch for 2 people is crazy.

The restaurant is located on the opposite side of the train tracks. It is easily missed it’s on the opposite side of Rita’s. We came to eat at Don Pepe but they are closed Monday’s. We found this place on the same side of the street and the food was amazing. Ceviche an jalea was delicious. The owner is super friendly and welcoming.

First time I visit and it was not very satisfying, I got a hair in the food and they told me that I was the one who put it on the plate. They weren’t nice. When you go to a restaurant it’s to have a good time, but even the food was really bad.
