I was parked half a block down the street and about to search for a restaurant when I looked up and saw this place. I told my companions we should just walk there instead of moving the car and having to find another parking spot. I’m so glad we did!! This was hands-down the best meal I have ever had in Trinidad. I had the breakfast burrito which was smothered in green chili. It was exceptional and the green chili was likely the best I have ever eaten. My bro got the breakfast quesadilla which came with the same green chili and his gal got the breakfast burger. The bun was an English muffin. That was unexpected but she loved it. How can I forget to mention the delectable bloody mary I ordered to drink. It was dressed brilliantly and set the day off perfectly. Don’t miss this great little restaurant which is located in an historic building in downtown Trinidad. Whether you want great food, a drink from the bar or a coffee from their barista, you will be delighted you visited.

Passing through Trinidad and we were hungry decided to stop here to eat. Want to mention thr Great service first! And Micheladas were delicious! My husband got The Trinidad burger he enjoyed it but the green Chile was more like sauce/gravy could use a little more heat and flavor. My daughter enjoyed the Chile cheese fries, especially the fries they were more homemade kind. I had the chicken tacos which I found to be very dry and no flavor. 4 stars on food. 5 on service.

This is a fun place to enjoy some hearty food and a tasty beverage in an old, historic building that takes you back to the early 1900’s. The service was fast and friendly, although the wait times on the food were a bit long.

We are travelling and love to try new restaurants. We were in the mood for a good juicy burger and saw this place. We stopped in and were seated quickly. The service was very good and our waitress was very nice. We ordered the truffle fries, the poor mans pork belly, the southwestern burger and the bearcat burger. The truffle fries were very good with the perfect amound of truffle to where it wasn’t over powering and the garlic aoli was a perfect pairing. The poor mans pork belly was my favorite of the whole meal. It was spicy and tender with so much flavor, literally to die for. The southwestern burger was so good too. It was juicy, fresh and had so much flavor. My partner got the bearcat and said they enjoyed it a lot, juicy and flavorful. This restaurant is definitely fresh and made to order.

They remodeled during COVID. It’s nice, but I liked the old atmosphere and art.

We are on vacation in Colorado, and our first stop was Las Animas Grill. Google recommended from Trinidad, CO so we decided to check it out. First of all, love the downtown area that it’s located in – lots of colored and unique buildings – and Las Animas Grill fits right in with the aesthetic. Easy parking in the area, as well. We were greeted from the moment we got in and sat at a table within a couple minutes despite a packed place. We decided to grab one savory (Denver Scramble) and one sweet dish (French Toast) to share. They were both delicious meals and did not regret our decision. We grabbed our kids silver dollar pancakes and mixed fruit to share, which was recommended by our server. Overall, great experience with the staff and location. Grabbed a shot glass and a patch as a souvenir, and plan to come back if we ever drive to CO again.

This is one of those gems you don’t want to tell everyone about… keep it a secret! The food, drinks, and people are great! Recommend by a local and didn’t disappoint in any way. Fish and chips were amazing. My mom got a Cuban so good I might get that next time! Fries were on point, I could just eat a big plate of those fo sho.

Having a miserable waitress makes dining uncomfortable. When asking for another piece of toast comes with an eye roll and the response to thank you is just her walking away from the table, it shows you’re not wanted there.
