For the 14 years I lived on Long Island, I never had more authentic, good and consistent quality Salvadoran food. The variety of traditional dishes they have on a regular basis is amazing. From pupusas de maíz and arroz to amazing enchiladas, quesadillas, sopas y Platos típicos salvadoreños, they have it all! Only downside to this place, for me at least, is that it’s a cash only place. (Not a huge deal but worth noting) Everytime I travel back to LI I come here for a home cooked meal, would definitely recommend it!

Terrible food and service took forever to get my check paid 30 dollars for a soup that only had 2 shrimps and 2 clams and watered down juice

Amazing food and service! The pupusas were delicious, as was the tamal de elote con crema. The owner was so friendly and kind! They are a cash only establishment so just be prepared so you can stuff yourself to your heart’s content with some delicious home cooking!

Came to hempstead seeking Latino food and was actually looking for another spot that I had been to a few years ago when we stumbled on this cute corner spot. We ordered two mixed puposas with cheese, chiccaron and beans and one with cheese and loroco which the lady told me was a flower that gave it a unique taste! Awesome. Something new to me and worth a shot for $2. As per any good pupusa place you wait as your puposas are made to order! We enjoyed both kinds although the bean/pork rind and cheese one wasn’t as good as our favorite spot in Jamaica queens it was still quite tasty and only 1.50. The loroco and cheese was delicious and subtle but really good. Score a new food find!

I only get my usual 3 pupusas from here. They’re very good. We’ve never dine in,the restaurant is small but it has a family feel to it.

Food is amazing, but they have too many rules ♀️ and they need to get with the times and accept debit card
