NOT WORTH THE TRIP!!! We were there on Monday & SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTED!!! Gorditas means chubby, these weren’t that. The gordita pocket was freshly made & good (The only reason for the 2 stars.). We had to search for the filling, it was the consistency of a smear of ingredients. It was basically flat bread with very little filling. Reviews must have been posted by the owners & employees. There are better places to go in Chicago.

Gorditas are really good but when i order gorditas in red or green sauce i like them nice and spicy and they are not spicy. They have good flavor and would go there again. Service is ok but its always busy so sometimes slow. They only take cash but have an ATM inside. They have aguas frescas which is good. But fri, sat and sunday its packed and small place to start with. But flavor is good so i will return

First time coming here since we were visiting from California and we were told to stop by because it was really good. I got the spicy burrito and that burrito was so good. The gorditas were pretty descent too, but the customer service of the waitress that we got was terrible. My family ordered their drinks and some were ready to ordered food and she answered so rude like “do you want me to get your drink order first or your food order?” She only checked up on us once. The bathroom was so smelly.

Food is amazing but I didn’t like how they had my total before arriving and when I get there we they didn’t have it ready then charged for a large instead of a medium and the attitude was definitely there.

We really enjoy coming here but today was just such a horrible experience, we walked in and it seemed like any other time we do, we sat it took at least 5 min before we got the menus, the lady that brought our menus stated that our server would be over, while we patiently waited the owner was seating right next to us having a great time with two girls talking about going out to have drinks and don’t worry you don’t have to pay and bla bla bla, not once did he asked at all have you been help didn’t even acknowledge that we were there just waiting, two other guests had to get up because they forgot their drinks and got there order wrong. We continued to wait and when the server finally walked by she said give me a minute as she started cleaning tables as if we had not waited 20min already.

Ordered 3 gorditas (1 rajas/queso, 1 carne Chile rojo, 1 carne asada/queso) and an agua de piña. The gorditas we’re flavorful, with the best one being the carne con Chile rojo. The Chile wasn’t in the least bit hot, but was full of flavor. The agua de piña was delicious! The cashier was friendly & courteous. The atmosphere is laid back and home-y. Family friendly. The only downfall is they are cash only, but they have an ATM (with a $3 surcharge).

Online price for gorditas is a $1.99 when arrived for pickup and went to pay was charged to $2.65 and had to go all the way back home for more money as I was paying cash. Short $8

Gorditas are really good, fresh and delicious, with tones of fillings to choose from. Salsa is also very delicious. My only complain is the very slow service. They should not serve first only the people sitting but also when you call ahead they tell you 30 min and after 1 hr order is not ready. So they need to change that and really just give an actual waiting time. Maybe expand the kitchen and employees to make more orders faster.
