The food was pretty good and they have a decent variety of options for regular and plant based diets. If you want more flavor add avocado and use their salsas. The prices are pretty much in line with other restaurants that have similar menus.

I’m Vegan – the Laughing Planet has many good vegan choices. I had the Vegan Tempe Burrito and it was really good. The red sauce extra was really good. For dessert I added a couple of vegan cookies…my favorite was the snicker doodle (large, crunchewy).

The food was delicious. I had the Hungarian Mushroom soup, which was chock full o’ ‘shrooms. I also had a grilled chicken burrito. The chicken was grilled to perfection. The ginger iced tea was a really tasty thirst quencher. I enjoyed a salted chocolate chip cookie to finish up. The staff was friendly, but they made sure to tell me that they were closing in 25 minutes, and so they would only give me the meal to go. I was welcome to eat out on the patio in front. It was a pleasant evening, and the patio had a nice ambiance, but before I finished my meal, they took the garbage can and locked it inside the restaurant. I had to knock on the door to throw away the wrappings. I think they probably should stop serving at 8:30 to ensure they can lock up by 9:00 without a customer interrupting the close-up procedures. That’s on me; I should have shown up earlier. If you are looking for a healthy meal, this is a good place. Make sure you order before 8:30 unless you want it to go.

This is one of my favorite places to eat vegan foods. They usually have a very interesting special going on and you can always ask for vegan substitutes if needed. I like the laid-back and creative atmosphere. This is the first review where I am including a photo of the unisex bathroom. I think I will do that more in the future since it kind of matters to some folks. At this restaurant you are expected to bus your own table and the drinks are self-serve. I enjoy that just fine. My go-to staple is the Tempe Royale with vegan cheese. At only $11.50, I can completely fill my belly for the rest of the afternoon. My wife and a friend both enjoyed a chomp on the burrito and agreed with me how very tasty it is.

Love that they cater to all dietary needs, and it’s even stated in the menu, whether it’s vegan, gluten free, and etc. Bubba wrap is delicious, the chips and guacamole is good too. They give you a salsa on the side, super good, with an option of mild or spicy. They don’t take Apple Pay. Interior is hippy and happy. It can accommodate medium size crowd. There’s some outdoor parking.
