Service is pretty good. Staff serving you are polite and helpful. The food is pretty tasty too. I especially like the rice that they give with their shawarma platters. Would definitely prefer lamb over chicken. Place is a bit on the smaller side though

This is a great shawarma spot. The lamb and beef lava wrap I had was very delicious and the fries were also quite good. The restaurant was very reasonably priced and the staff were helpful. The food was prepared quickly and the atmosphere was welcoming. It was especially nice that there was a good amount of outdoor seating just outside the restaurant. Overall, definitely recommend this spot for shawarma.

The food was good. Everything was made to order and came out pretty fast . Prices were reasonable and overall a very decent selection of choices. There is a good selection of appetizers as well as entrees and there’s a large drink selection. Food came out very fast and was very tasty and everything was made very well. Portions were also very reasonable.

The chicken shawarma, or chicken gyro or döner, was delicious. I like that they grill the whole world once it’s ready. Besides its crust is crispy, the whole eating experience was not messy. I liked how it was served.

I visited Lava Shawarma when they opened on Saturday morning. There wasn’t indoor dining and the outdoor seating area had not been set up yet, so I ordered my food to-go. I got the Chicken Shawarma Burger, which was a great portion for the price. The chicken was tender— a bit salty, but not so much that it masked the distinct flavor of the meat.

The best middle eastern I’ve found in Manhattan — no I don’t think highly of the food in New York.

Wow this place is kinda amazing. I haven’t been able to find a good Doner locally since I returned from London, having them frequently there. This place brought me back to those fun late nights, with the long, thin wrap and tasty fillings. I got beef/lamb wrap and it was amazing; falafel was also solid. Grape leaves were average, maybe a bit salty. Can’t wait to try the haloumi sandwich!
