Good fried fish place. Sometimes they have good specials. The whole catfish was nice, just the right size not too big not to small. Some of the items I feel are overpriced. The store overall is nice and clean and in good shape. The person who took my order was super friendly and nice.

So glad for this Hillside location since I was close to the one on Canal for most of my life! Food is perfectly cooked and always ready when I arrive. The staff is very welcoming, makes sure everything is right and nothing is missing. Very clean and maintained too!

The shrimps were really good and fresh. Once me and the husband arrive home we realized there was no cocktail sauce in the bag. I called back to Lawrence’s and a young lady answered the phone and was MORE then apologetic and accommodating. It took my husband a total of 12 minutes to go and come back home with cocktail sauce. Shrimps were still quite warm and delicious!

I was very disappointed in the food. My first time there ever. Ordered .5lb catfish & .5 lb scallops. The scale had to be off because the two combined didn’t come to .5 lb. Service was quick and friendly, wait for carryout was pretty quick but I won’t be returning in this lifetime. I felt like I’d been robbed when I opened the bags.

One star is too much, this should be a half of star. I was truly disappointed with my order, this establishment charge by the pound which is find if they tell you an estimated count. I order a half pound of catfish strips. My total comes up to $11.45, I was like ok this should be enough for me to eat before I hit the road and for dinner when I get home. It was 3 small pieces of fish. So I asked the worker why wouldn’t she tell me how many pieces a half pound would be. I figured she worked here and had plenty of orders to know the number. Then she had the nerve to have an attitude because I was not happy about spending $11 dollars on an order that didn’t include fries or a drink. Go at your own risk.
