Really enjoyed this place. Lawrence’s Seafood Company delivers in the following ways: cool and fun atmosphere, really good service ( huge kudos to our server, Victoria, who is simply outstanding), and delicious food! We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp and it was delicious. For our main entree we had the Fish Tacos and the BBQ Tacos….both were outstanding! In addition, we enjoyed the live music, very entertaining. If you’re on the IOP, check this place out, it’s a winner. Highly recommend.

Overall a great beachside dinner. Sat outside and enjoyed an ocean view. Corn Hole, giant Jenga, and a sandy area are available while you wait. Walk up from the beach walkway, an easy walk from the public parking area or be lucky enough to grab a parking spot or front. At 415 there was plenty of seating inside and out. The hush puppies with honey butter were the best I’ve ever tasted! The lobster in the lobster Mac & cheese was really delicious. Lobster Roll was seasoned with dill and yummy. Shrimp Tacos were described as “mangoey, spicy, and shrimpy.” Fries were well seasoned but we’d pass on the grits next time. Fish Tacos were okay and filling. Would come back to try other menu items or walk up from the beach and enjoy the outside bar.

We loved sitting outside listening to the live music. It was a nice relaxing environment. Even though you are close to the bar, there wasn’t too much noise or rowdiness happening. The food was great. The fries are to die for!! I wish they would have had a little better drink selection, but that didn’t really take away from the menu that much. The lobster rolls and crab cakes are worth every penny as well. The kitchen got pretty backed up when we were there. We had a decent wait on our food. Enough that our waitress had to tell us it was “going to be awhile”. Not that it was expected, but it would have been nice to have offered to comp our app or give something based on the length of wait. Our server was ok, nothing great but nothing to complain about. The kitchen issue and server were not bad enough to deduct any stars as the food and atmosphere made up for it all.

Food was good. Lobster roll was eh. Shrimp tacos were wonderful. Nachos were amazing. Area was clean. Music was loud. Male greeter came off as if he didn’t want to be at work. Server seemed to be rushing us to order. Noticed the greeter and server were spending a lot of time together. Maybe this is the reason for the customer service at the beginning. Drink looked sloppy when it arrived and tasted ok…

Outstanding food! Love it. We stumbled upon here because coconut Joe’s was packed and I couldn’t have been happier. This place is wonderful, the food is outstanding. The mango hot fish tacos and hot chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious. The food was so good I ordered an additional entree of the smash burger which was so good!! Huge shout-out to our server Victoria. Absolutely wonderful and kind.

Lawrence’s is good, but it does not live up to the Charleston area food scene standards. The restaurant has a nice ocean view and is a good lunch option when spending the day at IOP. The nashville hot chicken po boy was good and so were the crab cakes. I highly reccomend the peanut butter pie dessert. I would skip the brussel sprouts in favor of another side.

Nice alternative to Coconut Joe’s with good vibe and super friendly staff. There is a back patio with access to the beach; though the evening we went they were getting ready to close down the patio so we sat inside – lots of tvs with games on. Fish sandwich is great, and don’t sleep on the Brussels sprouts!

Okay,you’re still reading reviews not knowing to trust the 1 star or the 5 star,so let me put your mind to rest. I own a cafe Bar so I know what I’m talking about when I say,a perfect performance,from host to running the check. A perfect estimate of wait time, great ambience on the back patio, Perfect solo acoustic live music. great menu and drinks that could have been priced higher for the quality especially in a tourist area on a Friday night. Payton was pleasant & efficient,always available but never intruding. Granted April 24th isn’t quite high season, but the entire staff passed the prime time stress test perfectly. Now, stop reading reviews,get a table, order hush puppies, the grouper sandwich and brussels. Not my photo but good lord,check out the location that is also wind screened by the bordering buildings.
