Cute restaurant with easy parking. The food was incredible, best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had. We tried the Texas toast, yogurt, biscuit sandwich with sausage, omelettes, pancake and glazed beignets everyone said they were delicious. Eating here is a must! We got there early on a Sunday to avoid a wait for our large party.

Delicious and casual. I came with my two kids and the service was fast enough to keep them satisfied. Tried the alligator bites which I really enjoyed. The crab omelette was super filling! Kids had chicken and waffles but the chicken was a little dry.

Dined at Lazy Oak for a late Sunday brunch and had a great experience. Starting with the loaded hash brown appetizer… think long tater tots loaded down with cheese, ranch, bacon, and green onions. Definitely don’t skip this! The grit bowls were really good even though the grits had a finer grind than we were accustomed to. The shrimp in my grits were fried perfectly golden brown with a crispy batter.. the chicken in the southern grit bowl was fantastic as well. Perfectly fried, yet juicy and flavorful inside. The pancake (singular) was enormous. You’re only going to want one, I promise. The Mardi Gras mimosa was interesting but we’ll probably skip that one on the next visit. The service was stellar even though they were busy busy! Food was brought out hot and promptly, and we were checked on twice by the chef as he made his rounds after the rush. Definitely stop in and taste what these folks have cooking… it’ll be worth it. Oh.. and don’t snooze on their garlic bread. It was awesome!

Really enjoyed our breakfast. Comfortable and cozy. Everything made from scratch (or tasted like it anyways). Really enjoyed it.

Two thumbs up! Great food, super clean, friendly atmosphere, and the best chairs ever! These kinds of chairs (and food) really make you want to stay a while. Hands down the best roast beef po-boy sandwich I’ve ever had! It is not the shaved deli meat, it is the real deal roast beef! I also had the bayou balls and they were great too! I will return and can’t wait to try something new!

Don’t sleep on this cozy brunch spot. It eas absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were super friendly and also good portion sizes. The coffee was actually really really good too and I had just a straight black coffee. 10/10 will go back.

The food was delicious! We have high standards coming from South Louisiana, but this food lived up to the hype.

This experience was awful. We drove all the way from New Orleans to try this place. We waited for 45 minutes and then waited 2 hours for food. Literally had to get our own refills from the bartender. Terrible service and food was greasy as can be. I’m not recommending this place to anyone! And when we confronted one of the wait staff, they got a Major attitude and kept giving us nasty looks and continued to bad mouth us to the table behind us, loud enough for us to hear. While I was waiting at the bar for my bill, 2 other table came up and complained that they haven’t seen their server in a hour. Absolutely ridiculous, worst experience.
