Sometimes 5 stars are not enough. This place is fantastic. The food is good and not too pricey. The location on a small lake is picturesque. The staff is super friendly and went out of their way to make my dog feel welcome and even offered to bring her a treat and a bowl of water. The landscaping in spot on as well. If I’m ever in the area, im definitely coming back.

We sat out on the deck and enjoyed a little breeze and the relaxing view of Belhaven Lake. Boats were sailing by and swimmers were enjoying the coolness of the water. Our food was brought out to us to enjoy. I had the fried shrimp basket. The basket contained 6 nice sized shrimp fried crispy and served nice and hot with crisp seasoned waffle fries. I had a choice of sauces. I chose cocktail sauce. My husband and son both enjoyed the fried flounder sandwich on grilled Texas toast with crispy seasoned waffle fries. The flounder was crispy and tasty and a nice size. The sandwiches also were service with your choice of sauce. The tarter sauce as well as the aioli sauce were both winners. The food was very good. The atmosphere was relaxing. As you could tell by the many cars in their parking lot, this is a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. They even had live music to listen to while we enjoyed our lunch. We Highly recommend LB’s Lunchbox.

So wonderful to not only have a place in the pines that offers delicious food, but also accommodates all sort of dietary needs. There are plenty of gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options and a very handy sheet to help you figure out how to make something on the menu fit your need (ie, what sauces can be removed from a dish to make it vegan).

LB’s is absolutely fantastic. Was so excited that I only managed to stop and take a picture after I’d eaten half of everything. The flavors are all rounded and delicious. And I’m so happy to have a local place that offers soooo many unique vegetarian dishes!

What a great find in the middle of Wharton! You may not have signal on your phone, but you’ll have a great meal. I had tasty corn fritters and a “crab cake” hollandaise on an English muffin that was made from artichoke hearts and tasted as good as the real crab I had the other day at a fancy steakhouse. Great service, too. And don’t forget to check out the local art cards for sale. I’m definitely going back. If only they could be open year round!
