If you’re seeking a nostalgic dining experience with a touch of elegance for a special occasion, this restaurant might catch your attention. The establishment boasts a decor inspired by the glamour of the last century, transporting patrons to a bygone era. However, while the ambiance sets the stage for an unforgettable evening, the food fails to meet the same level of excellence. With high expectations, we were disappointed to find that the cuisine did not live up to its reputation. One dish that particularly fell short was the skirt steak, which unfortunately resembled a kids meal in terms of portion size.

A beautiful space, we couldn’t stop taking pictures! Delicious Tuna Nicoise, Crab Cake Sandwich, Fries and Pineapple Upside Down cake. The chef made our son a Grilled Cheese which he said was the best he’d ever had and my French 75 was also the best I’ve ever had. The service was very nice and attentive. Only negative was the steak in the Steak Frites dish, very lackluster flavor.

Go here now. We went for Easter brunch and it was tasty, decadent, and beautiful. The dining room is majestic, and the food is excellent. Everyone at our table, loved their meals. I had shrimp cocktail, the skate wing, and the sorbet. everything was top quality and executed very well.

My experience at Le Cavalier was underwhelming. Though this was not my first time dining at the Hotel Dupont, it was my first in this restaurant. I was expecting an epicurean delight but received shoestring fries reminicant of McDonalds, mashed potatoes that tasted instant though touted by the waitress as fresh and blanched green beans that took too much work to eat in house. The Branzino Rouille was okay but lacked flavor that would make it stand out. The macaroons were the saving grace for me as it took me back to when the food was more memorable.

The service and food was an absolute 10/10. Our server was so nice and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing. Every single bite of the beet salad, French onion soup, le cav breakfast, and crab cake salad was to die for. We will definitely be back soon!

Took the family here for Father’s Day brunch. Lovely environment and enjoyed an overview of the hotel and restaurant’s rich history. There was some disorganization around our seating, which did not occur until 30 minutes after our reservation, but the atmosphere was so pleasant we did not mind. The food was good, but not anything special for the level of cuisine offered. I was disappointed that they were out of smoked salmon by the time we were seated.

Very French. $39 eggs Benedict with salmon. Great deal in today’s economy when eggs are $0.10 an egg from a carton.

I’ve been looking for a French restaurant wherever and I came across this place. The food was underwhelming. Nothing unique even after trying two entrees

The whole experience was great. Our waitress was amazing. If you ever have the chance to go there, make sure that your waitress is Tee and the drinks manger is Robert. They made our experience here amazing. The food was good, my only complaint would be that the ceviche wasn’t as good as ceviche that I have had in Colombia. But that’s a minor complaint compared to how amazing everything else was. The atmosphere was a reminder of my times in Europe.
