The BEST croissants in the city. I think they are the only ones not putting fake almond flavor to their croissant and that’s why their croissants are so good. Amazing staff very helpful. Delicious coffee all the time. Beautiful place and atmosphere. A true gem in SF. (I wish it wasn’t that pricy)

While the atmosphere is lovely, the experience was not. They do not have any vegan items, charge extra for plant based milk and got my order wrong.

Great French cuisine! A nice quiet neighborhood place to catch up with friends and enjoy a nice lunch or coffee and pastry. It also has a great outdoor patio with lots of sunshine–a cool place for an afternoon coffee. I had one of their sandwiches and friend had a salad, both were quite enjoyable and affordable.

Nobody busses out the tables, nobody wipes them, be ready to do it yourself.

Le Marais has all the ingredients of an amazing place — but it just hasn’t quite put them all together to make it work. The major issue for us was the over hour wait time from lining up (40 mins) to actually getting our meals (another 25 mins). The cafe uses a single server counter ordering method and the weekend we were there had a glacially slow employee taking orders. This meant half the tables were empty while people lined up. The person bussing tables also appeared to not be clearing effectively, resulting in many patrons having to clear prior tables dishes to sit at a clean table. The actual baked goods looked great and would be worth the trip, but with the wait we had we’ll probably skip it in future.

The freshest of the fresh baked goods. None of the pretentious vibes of Tartine or long lines… with arguably an equal level of product.

Stopped by after a trip into SF for a lunch with family and picked up a few bakery treats. The obviously French lady behind the counter was very helpful and made excellent suggestions. The chocolate croissants were perfect. The cinnamon role was buttery and flaky (not gooey). The vanilla flan was a little plain, but delicious and the chocolate flan was delectable. The cookie was good, but not my favorite style.
