Noteworthy food and drinks in a fun, yet classy environment makes for the perfect date night. On a Saturday, my wife and I dined at Le Mont Royal from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Here’s our experience.

The chocolate mousse was very confusing. The menu didn’t explain it had a jelly and micro apples. The taste was alright. The disco bourealis was good and the gin and tonic was too. The lamb shank was tender, but not mind-blowing.

I arrived early with my group and we were happy we got there just in time. Throughout the night there was a line of almost 100+ people waiting to get in. I almost felt like the build out and ambiance was so good it took away from the food. It boasts high tops, booths, traditional/date tables, and even a pool table. It’s a place where everyone can go on any occasion.

We stopped in for a couple glasses of wine and some poutine one evening. The wine list is very impressive, containing multiple options across some key categories – red, white, skin-contact, and sparkling. The poutine was good, but my blanc de noir really stole the show for me. We appreciated the laidback evening vibe and the interesting wallpaper in the bathroom. We’ll definitely be back in the near future.

Le Mont Royal is a special sort of place. The food is spectacular. The sounds are all from vinyl. The 40+ disco balls are shimmering. You will be transported to a different place. Le Mont Royal is open tonight. Come drink at beautiful Le Mont Royal.

This place has SUCH a killer vibe! The music was super fun, the disco balls were shiny as hell, and the staff was SO attentive. Opening night seemed Very smooth, can’t wait to go back and try some of the other menu items! If you want a fun party time, the first floor has you, if you want a chill drink and ‘get-to-know-you moment’, upstairs is for you!

I came for Sunday brunch and had such a blast. I will say it was about 90 degrees outside and raining. As it got more crowded inside it was definitely more than hot. I talk to someone named Chaz(sp?) that worked there and asked if he could do something about the temperature, and I will say he went out of his way to try to accommodate. It sounds like a small thing speaks but to me volumes to their customer service. The music was amazing and the service pretty much was the from everyone I came in contact with. All I can say is this is really an amazing and special spot? Had a blast and I’ll definitely be back.

Le Mont Royal is the best new year gift for the people of Washington DC. The “French Canadian” Disco hits all the spots for an epic night: amazing 70s classic (Shazam always-on), delicious drinks, cheeky bartenders, and a fun crowd that’s there to dance and have fun. And party animals in the bathroom walls: hilarious (see attached pics).
