We’re a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means the daily bread in French, and like our name suggests, we’re bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts.
At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That’s why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you’ll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.

Had the avocado toast. It’s good. The seasoning is a little bit different in that they use cumin which pairs well with avocado. It looks a bit plain and unexciting compared to how others do avocado toast. They like to spread a thin layer of avocado spread and then top with sliced avocado. It’s makes for a less messy eating. If you’re looking for something light but filling I recommend the avocado toast.

Excellent assortment of breads. The soup of the day was minestrone and it was really good. Loads of space- we visited this place on Saturday at about 12 pm and there was a lot of free tables. There is a wide range of jams, chocolate spreads, olive oils and other toppings. I expected more from the cinnamon croissant, but other than that everything was good. Friendly staff. You can see that the food is made out of good quality products. Good food stop in lower Manhattan.

Le Pain Quotidien is a good French Bakery. They have an assortment of pastries and a variety of menu options. The corner location provides ample opportunities to people watch. The interior atmosphere and wood decor is pleasant. The wait staff was fairly attentative. The food was more of an American take on French dishes.

Nice busy, local place. Food was simple and tasty.. Wait staff efficient and friendly. We speak Spanish and everyone was bilingual. We sat outside in one of the three tables. We put our name on the waitlist on line, so that when we arrived, we only waited a few minutes. The normal wait was 20min at this time.

Lunch in the outdoor patio during a sunny 73-degree Monday in Cental Park. Perfect for a tourist family of four. Plus friendly service.
