Hispanic or not, this is the place for delicious latin food! Family-like staff, so enjoy the hospitality while you “eat at home.” Definitely took me back to my childhood which was great since there aren’t many spanish restaurants other than Mexican style (no shade, it’s just different). I came for dinner, I recommend rice and beans, roasted pork, and sweet fried plantains always, or any other one of their sides…can’t go wrong either way
I will be going for breakfast and I will be ordering a “typical Dominican breakfast”–ask for it and enjoy

I had an amazing experience at Lechonera Ocala…not sure why others have rated it so poorly. The Mofongo con puerco was incredible and the two women working were very kind and welcoming. Absolutely will go back.

First time here, should have left as soon as I saw how the food looked like in the counter but wanted to give them a try for the food they cook fresh. Ordered a cuban sandwich and it took 40 mins to make, when received it was burn and had no taste. Ordered sancocho, had too much oil, see the picture of the left over they put in a cup. Mofongo was okay. Their prices are way to high for the quality if their food. I will not return there again!!

Dried food. The rice is good. Felt like I was eating in a car garage about to go back to work. The beverages aren’t cold and for the price ? Will not return. I’m Puerto Rican this food is nothing like good Latino food. I’m from Brooklyn and my family is from Puerto Rico , I know good food. I cook good food. This food is a no go.

This place is overpriced the menu has no prices, now wonder why. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a “mofongo” and that cost me $50. without counting the tip, (which I didn’t leave any).

The most tasteful Mofongo in Ocala. The best lambi (conch) and shrimp vinaigrette salad hands down. Real authentic Spanish (Dominican and Puerto Rican) food. If you’re looking for something different, visit Lechonera of Ocala. Cheers

I was disappointed the Mofongo I ask for was just a smash plantain with garlic( to me that was a Mangu, .also the person who take my order trow the order I make & after a long time another person came & has to re-take my order again. Wait for a long time for the food .
