Driving from Texas to Florida, this place was a joy to stop at. Every plate was full and worth the price. Each bite had flavor and everyone loved the Mac & Cheese. The rib plate and burger plate was together $25 and the two plates in the one picture was $30.

This place is great. We, like others, found it online while on a road trip. We wanted home cooking as we are done spending money on chain restaurants. The person that gave this place 1 star is a dummy. The chicken was cooked perfectly. I think that that reviewer probably grew up on chain restaurants and only knows over-salted/ over-cooked food.

The food at Lee’s is indeed heavenly! We had smothered pork chops that were so tender, no knife needed. Mac & cheese, red beans & rice and cornbread were also fabulous. We took a quick 4 minute detour off I-20 on our way to Florida, dined inside and we were back on the road in 30 minutes. So worth the stop. The owners are also delightful. We will be back to enjoy more of Lee’s home cooking on our next road trip.

Absolutely delicious country home style soul food. I eat there all the time. I’ve had just about some of everything they cook. I’ve not had anything that wasn’t good. Also the Nicest polite people you will ever do business with. It’s a small place that has much better tasting food than the big name chain restaurants. As a matter of fact, this place could show big name restaurants how to cook real food with real taste.

I ordered 2 plates. 1 had mixed greens, Mac and cheese, meatloaf while the other one had baked chicken wings, Mac and cheese, candied yams. No cornbread or roll was included. Beverages apparently were extra as I was not offered one with meals. The meatloaf had an excellent flavor except that it wasn’t cooked thoroughly as I saw pink meat in places. The greens had no flavor and the Mac and cheese lacked taste/seasoning also. The yams were not sweet and the baked chicken was white (undercooked) and no seasoning. I also ordered 6 lemon pepper wings and asked that they be cooked extra hard….yet they were not…had to go home and finish cooking them along with the baked wings. First and last time eating here.

Excellent food and excellent service. Very friendly folks. Rip tips, Lima beans, pull pork and the meat loaf were great. If you’re lucky then they’ll have their peach cobbler. Highly recommend. Now I am stuffed and have to get back on I-20 and drive to Jackson.
